HELPPPP!!!
so somehow my DI o rings are all torn and missing parts after a motor replacement. bought JX6Z-9229-A (x2) and they include everything but the top tiny little retainers for the o rings. I can’t find the PN anywhere and neither can my dealer. Pic attached
First thing I’d do is talk to your tuner and see what they recommend, the top names all perform well and everyone has a preference. Typically it’s best to get them sized with room to grow so you don’t run out when you decide to turn it up, then have to spend money twice. Once that 8lbs feels...
ive Been running it for 6+ months, and a few track days. Done a best of 9.90 @144, and I run 100 octane the track to be safe. I also have a methanol kit on the car... it’s not tuned for the meth but it staves off knock on my hot tune with 21 degrees of timing. I’m not taking any chances. Car is...
91 and torco/boostane should be absolutely fine at 6-7lbs, hell I’m running 91 and torco at 11-12lbs, 18 degrees and she loves it. Just watch out for knock from a tank of crap gas, it happens.
as for exhaust, I have gone through 10+ muffler combos trying to find something Mild I’m happy with...
Actually talked to paramount speed and they have a guy in Citrus Heights that does it. Waiting to hear a reply for his info. I’ll post it up once I get it.
The only real concern is mixing bias ply and radials. Aside from that, have at it. Tons of people have ran very different tires front and back for decades with no issues.
I’m currently running a mt et street ss in 305/45-17 out back on a 17x10 beadlock and a continental dws06 up front on a 17x7 for daily duties. It’s amazing in the dry at all speeds
And does well at the track. Got caught in a gnarly downpour a few months back and almost sent it across 4 Freeway...
you said launch control so ill assume it’s a manual yeah? I’d guess the coilovers and tires will be your biggest issues with what’s in your car currently. What’s your 60’?
It’s really straight forward, should take a long focused day or two at most. A few things I have learned over the last year having a Paxton that will save you dozens of hours and money down the road:
1. Do imrc lockouts with the install. Saves issues at higher boost levels.
2. At minimum get...
Hey guys,
Well after one factory warranty full replacement trans it’s time to find someone to build my 10 Speed. Anyone had experience with any shops or Ford techs in the Bay Area willing to throw some clutch packs in a 10r80? Id really prefer to not have to ship off my damn trans just to get...
I have a 800+ rwhp whipple 04 cobra and was pretty much terrified of doing a centuri blower on my 18 because I didn’t want her to be a dog on the low end, but i wanted something different than my 04. With the a10 car almost never sees below 6500 rpm at wot because with drops gears and maintains...
Second on it being an easy install if you have some basic mechanical skill. There’s a few things that you are going to want to do to save yourself some tail-chasing later as well and I’d be happy to talk you through. False knock is a bitchhh
2018 stock motor a10, Paxton 3.625” griptec, stock manifolds, 91 with 1/2 can of torco/tank (better safe than sorry), snow methanol 2.5 kit with 625ml sprayer for cooling only. Not too sure on psi or dyno, but she turns 9.90 @144.29 in the 1/4.
Looks like a great kit, I like the nozzles a lot. The push loc hose is always a bit sketchy, but it should hold up decently if installed with good placement.
I street tuned mine with my dragy and picked up a few tenths 60-130 when the settings were finally right. I think mine starts at 3 psi...
Somehow I missed the ngauge part, that’s totally my bad man. Just went back and read it. I mean the ngauge reads basically anything you might need on stock sensors, which covers most things. If you have a fuel system with a regulator you could hook up a
Fuel pressure sensor to get a direct...
Boost gauges are cool, but it’s not something that you need to readily monitor in my opinion, especially on a blower car. Turbo car with a wastegate and boost controller, yes. Personally I would install an ngauge and monitor basically everything on one gauge. On my Paxton 18 I always find myself...
That’s exactly why I did mine. I was on the 3.8 vortech pulley running 10.8ish, then did the meth and the 3.6 vortech pulley and ran 10.2s. Swapped to the griptec 3.625 and ran 9.90. Swapping to a griptec 3.5 soon as well, I don’t think I would have strayed to the smaller pulleys without the...
that’s my bad, I deleted a part to shorten my novel of a message. I’m running a Paxton 2200sl on my 18, 3.625 pulley, 91 with torco, the largest methanol jet the kit came with, and ran 9.90 @144 last time out.
I just confirmed I have the snow stage 2.5 kit, easy as hell to setup and has worked...
Im currently running pump 91, torco, and a snow methanol kit, I believe it’s the stage 2 or 2.5. I’m running it for the sole reason of keeping IAT in check on hotter days, however I still need to relocate my IAT sensor for the computer to recognize the benefits. Our IAT is with the MAF and you...
