Set up is xpipeand roush axel backs. As we all know probably the loudest setup
Hated it at first then loved it but lately it's on my nerves again. It's just too loud for every day driver.

Maybe go back to stock resenator with roush AB?
0r xpipe and stock cans ?

Don't have either laying around so I would have to ask around.

Any suggestions ?

Windows down driving lately it's just obnoxious

Thanks

It's gonna be hard to quiet down the Roush setup even by going back to a factory resonator. You'll probably need to go with a different/quieter axle-back if you want to tone it down a bit.

Let us know if there's anything we can help you with.

Thanks, Jared

exhaust is sooo subjective around here..everyone is going to claim what they have is the best, doesn't drone, isnt obnoxious..ect. you really need to hear these in person, i took a crap shoot and just went with the borla s-type catback and for me its everything i wanted in sound, and no drone at all. best of luck!

Corsa Touring axleback, Borla S-type axleback, Ford Racing Sport or Touring axlebacks will sound great and be quieter than the Roush by a decent amount, but by no means quiet.

Stock resonator will definitely quiet it down a ton. I'd try that first.

Yeah, stock resonator with Roush AB first. I think that would sound better than the X pipe and stock mufflers

If not check Craigslist. There are usually guys trying to sell their stock exhaust for cheap or free.

You can't just bolt the stock resonator back in it needs to be welded in. I'd have some glass packs welded in instead of the x pipe. It will mellow it down a bit. Glass packs are cheap too.

Hi,
My name is Lisa and I work at Borla. I just wanted to share some information about our sound levels. We have 3 sound levels to choose from: Touring, S-Type (sometimes referred to as "Sport" or "Stingers"), and ATAK®. Sound is suggestive so not everyone will like the same thing which is why we wanted to give our customers options.

Our Touring exhaust systems are slightly louder than stock and provide a deeper sound. Out of our 3 sound levels, the Touring is the quietest.

Our S-Type exhaust systems are louder than stock, aggressive, and provide a deep, throaty, muscle-car sound.

Our ATAK® exhaust systems provide a very loud, very aggressive, race-car sound. The ATAK® is the loudest sound level we offer, and ATAK® systems feature our patented ATAK® Technology which enables us to design loud exhaust systems with no drone.

If you haven't seen our video for the Mustang GT, you can check it out here:

Feel free to call us at 1-877-462-6752 (Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm PST) if you have any questions.
