Finally placed my order!

AGM2018

After months of vacillating back-and-forth between a lightly optioned base trim GT or a well-optioned ecoboost premium, I made my decision and I placed my order today. And the winner is...drum roll, please:

2019 Base Trim Mustang GT, 12/31/18 Order Date

Velocity Blue
10 Speed Automatic Transmission
301A Equipment Group (Ebony Clothe Seats)
Enhanced Security Package
Active Valve Performance Exhaust
3.55 Ratio Limited Slip Rear Axle
Spoiler Delete option

The car will remain stock, except for a 19 inch tire and rim upgrade when the stock tires need replacing, save for a drop in AEM air filter. My dealer said to expect the build to take at least three months...with a four month build time being more realistic. So, I expect my 'Stang to arrive in late March to early April, which should be in sync with the end of winter (hopefully!).

I already got some parts (Steeda stop the hop, k brace, strut bar), opg/cs, Fore fuel system + ID1050x injectors, and UPR catch can. My goal is to immediately switch to an E85 tune and once I get some miles add a Hellion TT and some larger rubber.
Nice choice. Velocity was a color that was in the running for me. It came down to White or Kona Blue. KB won out literally when I placed the order. Either color for me would have worked.

I think you made the right choice going with the GT. I would never be happy with a turbo 4 Mustang, but that is just me. Timeframe seems about right.

Velocity Blue or Need for Green were my color finalists. After visiting lots to see the colors, though never did get to do a side by side comparison.. I ended up going Need for Green. I have a fondness for green I guess. I wish I could have not been forced into the tape stripe. I also hovered around deleting the spoiler, but ended up not doing it.

NFG….ha, I don't have the balls to get that color!. It is by far the most eye grabbing color this side of Grabber Blue. My wife hates green cars, so that took the Bullitt out of the question as I would not get a black one. I think down the road if you keep it, the NFG color will boost its value especially if it is a one year color.

Haha - yes, it really grabs your eyes and shakes them violently, Velocity Blue is a solid color too, I really liked Grabber Blue. Highland green is great, but I'm indifferent on the Bullitt honestly. I feel you on black, which looks nice, but i'm also just kinda meh on Black. And I saved some not going the Bullitt route. Which I'll just end up putting the money into it eventually though so ‾\_(ツ)_/‾.

Wife and I both really like Magnetic and I considered that color. It's relatively easy to keep clean, her focus has a few chips on it and it seem to hide those pretty well. I just kinda want it to stand out I guess. Even if it's going to step on some peoples toes. And I hadn't considered the potential value boost if not many take the color.. I do plan to keep it for quite awhile.

In general, more bright colors I think is a good thing. Spice up the roads!

Yeah, I've been polling friends, and so far pretty much just reinforcing the remove thought. I want to do paint protection film on the front at the very least also, so It will likely be decided shortly after getting it/before having film put on.

I got a call from my dealer today and got my VIN#. I have a build week of 3/4/19. Interesting thing is when I put it in the online tracker, it pops a message that it cannot be found. I guess it takes some time for the tracker system to catch up. Anyway, will post a pic of the tracker once I can get in there.

Did you get an update on delivery? Site seems to be back up and working although I can get it, I do not have an EDD. Guessing that will update this week or next.

Yeah last night it updated went form 2/4 to 2/1 for delivery. But didnt show in transit. Then woke up this morning back to 2/4 saying in transit. But on the site it only shows the last day it can be delivered. Ford performance told me between 1/29 and 2/4. But there have been plenty of people who have got there order with a few days to spare. Dont matter it's on it way only a couple more days. It will get here when it gets here. Just glad the wait is almost over.
