Mine came today. But when I matched the vin its for the 2016 that's still at Ford on the showroom floor I traded for a 2017. So you guys/gals with a 2016 will get the filter wrench supplement. I'm sure the one for my 2017 will arrive soon. I took it up and gave it to them and they put it in the trunk of the 2016. Also I'd given back the supplement (one with crankshaft matching plate to dash chassis ) when I traded the car. They have put the car on auction and the supplement box was also in the trunk. They feel the same as me that since its vehicle specific it should go with the car. I'm very pleased to see that. They would have never known if I would have kept that supplement and sold it on EBay but that ain't right.

Mine arrived yesterday. I'm surprised as well. The letter states customer satisfaction, but what does a filter and tool do for that? Don't get me wrong, but why supply us with a filter and tool? The tool I use is a stamped steel advance auto part that works well. It is a standard size filter tool that works well. I do not plan to use the Ford supplied tool and instead will throw it in the closet with all the rest of the GT350 swag that ford sent me. When I sell the car, which I think will be soon to offset the R on its way, the tool and other stuff will go with the new owner.

Anyway, what's the point of this tool? A reminder that the filter will spin off if not torqued correctly? A liability offset? (we supplied them the tool.....) Who knows.

Hey Ford, instead of sending me a tool I don't need, how about sending me some GT350 coffee cups and T-shirts.
