Hi Guys,

After the last evaporator repair done at my local dealer they stated I should file a Ford 360 case... the kicker is they can't help me... has anyone done that before? I'm getting concerned as I have one more year left on my bumper to bumper and the AC is going to fail again...(started to blow warm in traffic and I smell freon inside the cabin) So I am gearing up to have had three evaporator cores replaced inside one years time.. this is getting old.

You will have to have the 3rd replaced to file LEMON LAW I believe. I'd speak to a lawyer that specializes in this, not an internet forum.

I understand how lemon law works and am not looking at that just yet. What my dealer said was a Ford 360 case will allow for the AC to be warranted even after the bumper to bumper has expired. Basically since the evaporators are a known issue for Ford they need to warranty the AC system by itself.

I have not been able to find information on how to file a Ford 360 case and was hoping someone here has; plus provide any retrospective they have of the process.

I have never heard of a 360 case but as is my understanding, if an issue continues to happen despite it being warrantied during the warranty period, it is under a repair warranty through the dealer which I think is 1 year. Guess depends on the dealer.

Call Ford Customer Service? They are nice... they never do anything for you unless you become a huge squeaky wheel, but they are nice.

Just call Ford 1-800-392-3673 and state your issue basically.

Well you guys are right, the Ford Customer Service folks are very nice. I got the 360 open and now awaiting a call back from my local dealer's Service Manager. We will see what they offer.. I'm looking for extended warranty on entire AC system and affected components.

I didn't know about the 360 claim!
I'm interested to see what they offer you! I've had my a/c repaired twice already, and I won't be surprised if it dies on me again. I might have to take the same route you're taking.

I know very little about them other then its Fords way of saying customer service complaint. My complaint was the AC saga I have gone though and continue to go though on my Mustang.

It first failed in Sep. of 2016, Just failed again in July of this year, and as an added bonus my car no longer cools sitting in traffic. (it only gets cool while driving).

I'm asking Ford to get their act together and fix it correctly, I am also asking for an extended warranty on the entire air condition system.

What Ford told me was the Service Manager of my local dealer will be calling me with more information.

I have no idea what they are going to do but I am starting to think its the car and not the cores thats failing. It's cursed I say!!!
