It's never just an easy process. Wound up spending the entire day at the dealership yesterday trying to get this swapped out. I filled out all the paperwork I needed to in order to get the '15 surrendered and picked out the replacement ('16 orange GT CA Spec. Auto). However, I have to wait for Ford to crunch some numbers and give me an offer sheet with the swap. Curious to see what numbers are coming my way, but I have to wait 5-10 days to find out. What a Long, Strange Trip its Been...

My dealer has been outstanding. Because I settled for something that did not check all my boxes, he went out of his way to tell me (after I picked and agreed to my replacement vehicle) to pick out whatever I wanted wrapped on the car, whether it was the black roof, stripes, whatever, and he would set me up with the wrap company across the street that he does business with. He said he would get them to cut him a deal and that HE would pay for it! Take notes, Ford, this is what YOU should be doing for me!

That's awesome. Good job. I'm sorry it's been such a pain in the ass (I'm currently going through something similar, but with an aftermarket vendor) but it's really great to hear that in your case they stepped up to the plate on such a big item.

Got my worksheet from Ford detailing how much I have to pay (difference in MSRP and usage). Just approved it via email and sent an email to my dealership's finance guy asking how to proceed with the paperwork. My '16 is patiently waiting for me at the dealership...

Good job on Ford's turnaround time. It is appreciated.

Here's hoping the BBB will come through for me as well.

I purchased a 2016 Ecoboost at the end May and drove it for only 4 days before it was returned to dealer due to a significant oil leak. It's been in their possession for the 22 days since.

They finally tracked down the problem Friday after several different fix attempts and the car needs a new engine block :frusty:

I had already opened a ticket with Ford before this news and was told when I called that the regional rep being attached to my ticket would call me within 1 business day

She finally got back to me yesterday afternoon and is moving my buyback ticket up to the next level but it would be 7-10 business days before Ford decided on my case.

I'm now over 3 weeks without the car and my patience has run out. Waiting another 2 weeks to possibly be told that I'm s**t out of luck is unacceptable.

As much as I didn't want to get a 3rd party involved, stories like the OP have lead me to believe that this is the only way to light a fire under FMC's ass.
