I remove all alpha numeric badges from my cars and want to replace my 5.0 fender badges. Since there are holes under them, I need something else to cover the holes until/unless I have then filled and fenders painted.

One question I have is are the factory 5.0 badges curved to match the fenders?

If so, are the aftermarket replacements also curved or is there some other way they don't end up with gaps to the fenders along the top or bottom?

I wouldn't mind red-while-blue tri-bar ponies but haven't found any curved to match the fenders and the right size. Ford made those badges for the S197 Pony Package but I'm not aware of any factory S550 tri-bar fender badges. And IIRC my S197 fenders were pretty flat where the badges went so not applicable to the S550.

Other ideas for badges (with no letters or numbers) and curved to match the fenders would be appreciated.

Any thoughts on filling he holes and covering them with a vinyl emblem which would eliminate the curve issue.? I could have pretty much anything I wanted printed up including tri-bars. I don't have any experience/knowledge filling/leveling holes in sheet-metal.

I have these tri-bar ponies on my fenders: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DUN51QQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The metal is soft enough that I could work a little curve into them and get a good flush fit on my fenders.
Thanks!

Those may be too small to cover the 5.0 holes.Amazon dimensions must be wrong though: 1" x 3.3". And the picture there on a car makes them look huge (below). I looked for a good size picture of your car with them but didn't find one with a quick search. Any chance you can post or link to one?

But the fact you could bend them probably means other larger ones can be bent also. Did you allow some time between bending and sticking them on to see if they retain the bend (as opposed to the tape being in a contest to keep them bent).

I really like these. Wonder why didn’t they put these on a Mustang.

I’d also be concerned about this.......:)
  • Metal three-dimensional strong, paste solid, easy to fall off.

Alright. I figured out that picture is a 2019 Infiniti G50 2.0T. Couldn't find wheel dimensions but if 17", the badge is ~6" x 6". But I suspect its photoshoped rather than anyone sticking the badge on a G50 and taking a picture, so really not much help figuring the actual size.

Here's the best pic I can post right now. I'll try to get a good measurement later. Wheels are 20" diameter if you want to try measuring/scaling.

As for waiting to see if the bend was permanent, no, not really. The metal felt soft enough that I wasn't expecting that kind of elasticity.

No need for a better picture. That's plenty big to get an idea how they will look.

I'm gonna dig up the size needed to cover the holes (I have that saved somewhere) and order some big enough to cover them (Amazon or eBay or ???).

Thanks a lot!

These are from autobadges.

They cover the holes nicely
I hadn't seen any that didn't also have the word Coyote. Thanks.

If that is yours, is it curved to match the fender or counts on the tape to compress in the middle and stretch at the top and bottom?

Yes it mine...and being that the emblems are plastic the strong adhesive tape once applied to the fender bends and curls the emblem a bit.

I was trying to decide on mine too. Have a set of blk RTR badges but ended up installing color matched 5.0 emblems. Mine is Oxford white along with the badges. I am very happy with the color matched ones.

Look for same color replacement fenders from an EB. The EB has no fender badges.

Usually there’s quite a few listed on eBay, or you can try coparts or LKQ for sourcing good used badge-less fenders.
