Looks like the Focus ST gets 90lbs of torque from it. I wonder what that means the ecoboost Mustang will get from it? As an owner of a leased car this is definitely interesting.

It definitely gives me pause to wait and see what's coming from FR, instead of buying now. There are huge benefits for me to retain the piece of mind that comes without warranty worries.

I agree, most of my performance mods will hopefully come from FRPP. My Dealer has a performance shop and will do what ever I want but recommends FRPP first.

Theres no way they take until the end of next year to release these when they were the first ones to get access to the car. Unless they want to force us to break in our cars first before we tune.

I am really liking the idea of this. Takes any concerns away. As someone who is considering a tune and never had a tuned car and needs a reliable car as this is a DD, this would make me feel better. But two things. Is it really not coming out until end of next year? And will they push the performance to match some of the aftermarket options?

This really should not be a surprise to anyone who has looked through Ford Motorsports catalogues the last few years--there are some really cool power packs for late model stangs. I sure more stuff is on the way

i called FRPP about this a couple weeks ago. The guy didn't have the first hand knowledge I was looking for, but his estimates were well before the end of next year. However, he also said that the hold up is getting the government to approve the tune. Not sure why they would be involved, and even if they are hopefully it goes quickly since the focus and fiesta program have paved the way. I'm holding out for this, I'd love to do this right after the spring thaw.

As long as you guys aren't expecting the same kind of results people are seeing from Livernois, Cobb, Unleashed, etc. you'll be fine. Also, the FRPP tune for the 2011 GT's pinged when it was originally released, food for thought...

For the record, these tunes do not retain your factory warranty. What you get is a psuedo-warranty from FRPP. Usually, you have to take the car to a dealer for the "install" of the tune and whatever else comes with it. In terms of it being factory backed, the tune is not designed in-house. I had a Pro-Cal tune on my 2012 GT and it had a myriad of issues that made me uncomfortable running it. I switched to a private tuner and the result was a much better tune. Also, as FRPP needs CAFE approval to sell these, you will not be able to do more advanced mods, like remove cats.

I can see for some this will be a great option. Just know in advance what you are getting.

I don't think I would get the FRPP tune. Maybe if I was just going to do a tune only car, but eh. I'm going to do much more than that and I don't want to pay an arm/leg for their "warranty" lol.
