I have a huge thread about reliable tuning from the vendors here. Honestly go for them. Livernois, MAP, BAMA, UNLEASED. (Sorry if I forgot one) they all rock and will be able to service your needs. The frpp tune doesn't have a shred of information direct from the company it's only rumors from other sources

As long as you go with a reputable tuner you should have no issues.

"Ford Performance Racing and mountune Performance Packs and Components are warranted for factory-supplied material or workmanship when correctly and completely installed on a late model Ford vehicle by an authorized Ford or Lincoln Dealer, Shelby American, Inc., mountune LLC or an automotive service technician certified by the Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). This Performance Packs and Components Limited Warranty begins upon dealer installation and registration of the part(s) with Ford Performance and remains in effect for the balance of 36 months or 36,000 miles / 60,000 kilometres, whichever occurs first, calculated from the start date of the manufacturer's New Vehicle Limited Warranty."
Not a factory backed warranty.

yes effectively it reduces your powertrain warranty from 5 years to 3 and changes the address that the dealer gets paid from. If you've more than 36k then it's useless. but better than "no, you're on your own" prior to that
