Another thing that wouldn't surprise me regarding an S550 facelift is that the GT350 front-end becomes standard on all Mustangs. Probably not with the splitter bits, but the general look and lower hood. This happened last generation. All Mustangs for '13 and '14 received a fascia very similar to the '10-'12 GT500.
I thought about that too, but the spied "GT500" on a 350 chassis wearing front camo had lower fangs going in the opposite direction. If that is the 500 then it's definitely a different nose...

Between the new Shelby GTE and up coming GT500, I'd bet anyone $100, No 2018 GT350.

Highly unlikely IMO, the front end on our cars was necessary to mitigate the extra drag created by widening the front. No way will they make that standard item, since a) it's not necessary on the narrower GT, and b) it's more costly to produce the hood with those lower portions.

350's were made 65-67', I personally believe they will stick with tradition and keep it a 15-17' model only with no MY18. The GT just received a number of Ford "power packages" that increase output anywhere up to like 472 I believe it was. Wouldn't surprise me if we saw MY18 with no Shelby offering at all since the PP GT can suffice for a year alone. That's if they don't unveil the GT500 for 18'. My thoughts :)

The less they make of these the better.

I'm certainly not counting on it as an investment, but if it retains its value, I'm not going to complain.

The GTE has nothing to do with Ford's mustang lineup.

I really like the symmetry of that. I hope FP does not extend to a MY18 GT350. I'd rather they just produce a little more of the MY17 to cover the gap until the GT500 arrives. It might depend on whether the GT500 is on schedule or not. OTOH, they extended sales of the Ford GT due to demand, so we'll see...

FP has room at the top of the mustang trim for 2 models. Especially of the rumor of a $65k + price tag is true. With them having a deal with Shelby in place and taking "GT350" from Shelby, why would Ford only use it for such a short period.

To me a GT350 and a GT500 makes since in the lineup.

I spoke to Jim Owens at the North American Track Tour in July and he stated that if you want to see the future of Mustang performance model runs then you must look to the past. I can only assume he meant the pattern of two years and then a hiatus while another variant is produced for two years.

I believe that. Ford seems to work with past patterns and precedents.

They stuck to it for the second generation Boss 302. The plan initially if not now I'm sure was to do the same with the GT350, mirror history.

Just can't get enuff!
It's all good whatever happens... maybe this MY2017 will indeed be the last year for the 350, or maybe not. We'll all see.

Either way the GT350 will still and always be a high-demand and limited production model. I don't think they will repeat the GT500's run of many continuous years. That's a good thing.

Sorry the 350's were produced 65 -69 and the 70's were leftover 69 with a vin change only. Plus over the hood stripes. I know because I've owned several.

Same man that told me no 18 GT350. His position is consistent.
