Experiences with vendors.

I've ordered a few things from CJ's too, and my last order is taking weeks because one of the items became 'out of stock' after my order was placed.
Do we get a discount code for RPI at all?

It seems to be a theme. I emailed them a second time, after waiting a fortnight for a reply to my initial email and was told that my order would take 4-6 weeks.
Apparently this is "normal" and they didn't even attempt to clarify my tracking number.
Never again CJPP, never again.

I ordered an exhaust from them and was all great experience only just recently i have found the same one 400 cheaper.... Guess more than likely it would be 1st and maybe last transaction....

I thought it was only me who had bad experience with CJPP, looks like a lot more members are in the same boat. Our Paddle Shifter order is still pending over 3 months now, they keep moving it further every fortnight. Chat staff is often rude about order follow up.
But at least we can still drive without the paddle shifters, so we will keep waiting patiently.
But will not consider ordering from them again, unless they confirm the parts ordered are in stock.
Lost decent money in one cancelled order. Discount codes doesn't look good when you pay in advance and have to wait for months to get the parts.

I have had good experiences with CJPP - ordered a JLT oil separator and Ford Racing hood struts on 18/07, arrived at work 25/07. Also got a discount code.

Having said that, for other items their price has not always been competitive, but sometimes their lower shipping costs compensate for that. And then sometimes, they have high shipping costs!

As always, know your prices and shop around!

I have had very good experiences from Paul at N4SPEED and jayman33 at Hypermotive. Both are Forum Vendors and very easy to deal with.

Even PM/emails in the evenings and at weekends. They both are great.

I ordered my new exhaust from Lethal Performance on Monday last week. It arrived in Brisbane today (actually arrived in Sydney last Friday).

I just bought a couple of minor items for my car and got prices from CJ's and RPI and found that American Muscle were the cheapest. For exactly the same two items plus shipping there was a different of $18.51AU. American Muscle don't offer a discount from what I can find anywhere but they are still cheapest in my experience.

Just wanted to give a shout out to the folks at Blue Power Racing (BPR). Had a very long conversation with the owner today about all things mustang. Told him that I wanted to buy their CAI, but when I told him that the car would not be in Oz until sometime late 2017 he (almost) insisted that I needed to wait to ensure that the latest/best fit and configuration was available to buy. He would (if pushed) sell one to me but it was his strong advice not to. So I have deferred until I have a delivery date.

Honesty/integrity/passion for the product and the customer.

I wanted to give a shout out to Rob at Herrod Motorsport, absolute top bloke and always has the time of day to chat with you in detail. I've ordered a few things from him now and they have always arrived next day - so quick!

I had an experience with UPR recently and the outcome was brilliant.
I ordered some "street" engine mounts but somehow the "strip" mounts showed up.
I emailed [MENTION=13019]UPRSteve[/MENTION] at 11pm our time and had a response within minutes.
After a couple of quick emails (like 15 minutes worth of back and forth) he had it sorted.
Correct parts were shipped that day.
Long story short, the correct engine mounts showed up today, about a fortnight (maybe less) after our exchange AND the parcel included a few extra bits.
I honestly couldn't be more impressed with the guys at UPR.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Did I mention that shipping to Oz is ultra competitive also? :cheers:

Good to hear.. I had a somewhat opposite when I ordered my catch can a while back. Nothing rude ect but waited a bloody long time for it to ship and after that huge wait was shipped the polished instead of the black. They offered for me to return it and when they received it back they would send me the correct part needless to say after the initial wait I have kept the polished can. It's shiny glow in the engine bay still annoys me too!

I've been ordering parts for my '65 resto from CJPP for the past 4 years and haven't had a bad transaction yet - prolly lucky by the sounds of it.
Have put an order in to American Muscle tonight for the GT - a Steeda tower brace, billet engine dress up kit, 2 x engine oil filters and a banner for the garage. Shipping with UPS is $93 and 10 working days to regional NSW, parts pricing was reasonable - so far so good.
