So I know this topic has been beat to death, but I can't really find my answers. I want to confirm my knowledge before I pull the plug and start ordering parts.

Let me first of by saying "most" of the videos on YouTube are of '14s or earlier, not the '15s. And to my knowledge, Ford did something different with the '15 V6 to give it a slightly different tone.

Anyways, I'm deciding between Roush Axlebacks or Borla ATAK Axlebacks (does anyone know if one of these is louder than the other?)

I plan on an H-pipe as well. Are X-pipes louder than H-pipes, or is the main difference the tone and HP gain? I know X-pipes tend to give rasp on our V6s, but an H-pipe sounds deeper.

Also, Cats. To my knowledge, taking them off creates more rasp. But doing so also makes the exhaust louder, correct?

My local exhaust shop said they can fabricate an X-pipe (I forgot to ask about an H-pipe, but I assume they can fabricate one as well). Is that what you guys do - have them fabricate one? They quoted me at about $100 (plus welding of course), which seems much cheaper than ones I can order online.

My end goal is to have a really loud V6. I was recently in a parking lot and a V6 Mustang w/ Roush AB, x pipe, and cat delete which started up next to me. His cold start was incredible loud. I was giggling at his revs as they echoed off the buildings. But I enjoyed it. He did mention he was switching over to an H-pipe, I assume due to the rasp, but I didn't ask why.

Yes, i have roush AB and xpipe which was custom fabbed at a local shop for ~$120n and it is pretty loud. Cat deletes will definately create ALOT more noise.
Do you have any issues with Rasp? I guess a better question is are you happy with your x pipe, or do you everything wonder what your setup with an H-pipe would sound like.

The only reason I'm considering the Borlas is because they "seem" deeper in tone, yet I have never heard them in person. But I can't justify spending an extra $300 on them.

I dont mind the rasp at all, to me I feel like it sounds kind of like a GTR :)
Anyways yes i do wonder what it would sound like with and h-pipe but i am satisfied!

Check out my video on youtube for sound clips:

Question. Going about deleting the cat, won't that fail the yearly inspection?

DO NOT DELETE THE CATS!!! Speaking from experience here. The fuel calculations cannot handle a catless setup and Torrie from unleashed would need a car and a few days to correct that problem. If you are near St Augustine then go for it! You will be helping me out!

The only thing really effecting the sound of the 15 is the center exhaust resonator. Once you remove that and place an h or x in its place you will sound more or less just like the 11-14 v6.

Mines just a muffler delete with 4" tips. Rasp only when its cold but after that its a nice deep tone. i was going to pull the trigger on magaflows but decided to bite the bullet and make this setup. the resonator in the 15 musta muffle more than the 14 since theres no rasp at high rpm wot runs.

So I don't know much about tuning, but I would need a tune if I delete the cats?

Yes it would require a tune to run correctly. More specifically you would need to let Torrie from Unleashed Tuning dyno tune it.

There's only two brands so far. Borla and Gibson. Not too many videos out there of them though. The Borla is about 1200, once I see some decent videos of that I might go that route.
