Silicone spray? I’ve got some of that I’ll try. Are you just spraying it literally in the muffler all over that butterfly valve? Or are you just trying to hit the top and bottom pivot points of that butterfly valve inside the muffler? Thanks!

Just the pivot points accessed through the exhaust tips. Doesn't take much, just a quick shot using the straw and it does the trick.

I use copper grease and mix it with mineral spirits to thin it out. Then use a syringe with a thin tip to put it where you need it. been working for me
