Gonna have a busy weekend, MGW X-SPEC & EXEDY clutch kit & flywheel came in today. I can’t say enough about Bill Garrett with Exedy, went out of his way to help me diagnose some issues and answer multiple questions. Customer service & shipping was spot on with MGW & EXEDY.

Happy to hear you found the fix to your clutch problem.

You're going to love that MGW shifter- it's a really high quality piece. Make sure to wash that rubber boot they give you, that powder it's coated in gets everywhere!

Thanks, I’m keeping my fingers crossed all is well once I get everything done and back together. Hated buying a new clutch without knowing if the existing one was wore out but better safe than sorry.

Thanks for the input on the powder, I was wondering why they were washing it off, never dawned on me that it would be messy.

Clutch and shifter install took place Sunday afternoon and all is well. No more squeaky throwout bearing and my hard shifting into first gear is gone. Very pleased and impressed with the MGW shifter.

More thoughts on the clutch when you get some miles on it please!

@BmacIL its the same clutch I took out, Since I was doing the throwout bearing I felt I would be better safe than sorry so I installed a new one while it was down and glad I did. Plus I upgraded to the EXEDY lightened flywheel. I already liked the clutch before but the pedal was a little heavy and engagement was half way up the pedal, this one engages within a couple inches of from releasing it and it feels softer.

Is there anything in particular you would like to know.

Ah I see. You got the throwout bearing that is optional with the clutch kit? I would probably do the same, and then the fun of endless pedal presses to bleed it lol.
