Has anyone used Innovate Motorsports (link) ethanol content sensor? I was able to google a thread Lethal Performance had on here about it but there was no feedback so I'm not even sure it works. I saw one guy had a Bluetooth set up using the Fuelit app, however, I want to go the route of mounting a gauge.

Are there any other sensors people have used or are known to be used?

Thanks!

I researched ethanol gauges quite a bit and ended up using a Zeitronix ECA2 unit. I read that the bluetooth ones had some connection issues with some smartphones and for the money, I did not want any issues. The Innovate unit was too big and would have to be mounted in a vent pod or stand alone enclosure and I didn't want to do that because I already had 3 AEM X series gauges in my car. I bought the gauge and controller less sensor on Ebay for $229.00 the sensor is abailable for around 30.00 or so, depending on where you get it from. Don't buy the sensor as part of a kit, they inflate the crap out of the sensor price. This installation was on a Fiesta ST, but with the fuel pump under the seat, the S550 should be similar. With that I placed the sensor at the pump top and ran the wiring up the R/H side and placed the gauge in the glovebox. One url below is to a gauge on Ebay and the other is a writeup on my Fiesta ST.

Was there anything else that was needed for the install? Overall happy with what you got?

I love the location of the gauge was thinking about doing the same.

Thanks!

The only thing I bought extra was the mounting holder bracket for the sensor which you can see from the first pic and was on amazon. The second extra thing was the mounting bracket to hold and mount the gauge in my glove box. Lastly was two fittings from Fore to connect each side of the sensor to the return line when I cut it. I added my gauge some time after I installed my Fore kit. The install was straight forward.

You happen to have the part numbers of the fore fittings you used to connect the sensor inline like you did. Sweet setup. I just received my fore fuel system and may do the same.

Which fuel line type and size are you using for your return line?

What is the ideal location of fuel line to cut into if you already have a Fore fuel system installed? I'd like to add this to just know ethanol content at fuel up.

Looks like possibly anywhere you can fit it in the return line. Probably where I’ll put mine.
