Ess g3 tuning

I have a ess 10r80 car. Find it very hard to daily drive taking off from a stop the 1-3 shift is smooth if I go extremely light throttle, give it a little too much it grabs 2nd gear like you're trying to race someone lol. Anyone else experience this. I have another tune with 1st gear locked out so leaves in 2nd and it's smooth but the 7th gear isn't locked out on that tune so can't push it over 125 mph that's about where it hits 7th. 355 gears. Also only normal mode has my 7th gear locked out on the 1st tune it's active on all the others.

Other question does having the stick in s instead of d make difference besides the obvious downshiftimg it will do and being able to have full manual

Why is your car shifting into 7th at 125mph? I have 3.55 gears and a shorter rear tire and my car shifts at 134.. that’s with a 26.5” rear tire. No way you have a shorter tire than that. Your tune should
Shift at 7700-7800. You really should run a. 28” rear tire also. When my tires wear out I will run a 28” rear also. Then you can go 142-144 in 6th. I had my tuner make a tune that lets 6th gear go to 8000rpm also which added 3 more mph top end for now for 1/4 mile and 60-130

I didn't realize BAMA was tuning ESS now....

All of that should not be happening. Hopefully you used a tuner on the ESS recommended list. Wengerd had me dialed in right off the bat. This screams tuning issue vs it being issues elsewhere.

I 2nd that.. I have Wengerd also. I asked so many dumb questions for like a week and he was always so good customer service wise and with info… car started perfect and data logging was perfect and he answered back within 3-4 hours at most even on weekends etc.. couldn’t be happier..
