Eruption green?

Saw this new color on fords Instagram that will be on the new mustangs and Broncos and thought it looked somewhat similar to the dark highland green. Was a little disappointed to see it, I liked how the dark green color was something retro and unique to the bullitt. What are your guys thoughts on this?

I've never understood why they just didnt make DHG available on ANY Mustang. I'd have likely bought a PP2 GT in DHG if they had. Or just a loaded Ecoboost. I really ONLY cared about the color. I like dark greens.

I agree from your picture, it look similar to DHG. I’ve seen a Bronco in this new green, it’s close, but not DHG. Use Bullitt owners are pleased that is not an exact match.

Highland Green or Dark Highland Green was not a unique color. My 66' Fairlane GTA was Ivy Green. In 1967 it became Dark Moss Green. And in 1968 it became, guess what?, Highland Green

I agree there have been a number of names for the dark green colour. Even the colour on the 68 Bullitt is a different shade of green than the current Bullitt. However, the colour green used for each reiteration of the Bullitt, including the 68 Bullitt is unique to the Bullitt to my eyes.

All 3 Bullitt generations have a different shade of green and none of them are the same as the original Highland Green.

I think this new Eruption Green has less blue in it than any of the Highland Greens and leans more toward British Racing Green.

Anyway nice color, this should look ace on the Mach-1.

I feel the same way. That color would've looked real nice on a non-Bullitt Mustang, and I think this Eruption Green looks promising even though I'm getting more vibes of the '99-'00 Mustangs in Electric Green from it at the moment.

That would be a perfect green color in my book for a Mustang! Not as dark as the most recent Bullitt, but not as vibrant as Need for Green.

The green is what makes the Bullitt unique. Once they offer it on all other models, it diminishes the point of a special edition. Values will drop like a a bad transmission.

As someone who ordered a grabber lime one before (out of practicality) switching to DHG, i think the bullitts colour is too dark. (Well yeah, i like vibrant colours) so from pictures so far i like the eruption green more. even though im unsure about the yellow sparkle it has.

Eruption looks emerald, is lighter in all lighting, and has different metal flake colors compared to DHG (in all instances).

Wait till you see it in person or have them side by side.

A lot of folks liked this and thought it was a close to HG/DHG as we were going to get on a regular Mustang.

I chased down a mini cooper so I could ask him what color his was. British racing green 4. I nearly wet myself.
