Did you even listen? He simply quoted what was possible from the user manual. This is what he said..

In fact, in the owner's manual, it specifically states oil consumption of approximately one quart
per 500 miles is possible. Okay, this is actually interesting. So, do the math with me. This engine can burn about a quart of oil in 500 miles. The engine holds 10 quarts of oil, and the oil drain interval is about 5,000 mi. Did it just click? This engine could potentially consume all of the oil in a single oil drain interval. So, you must religiously check the engine oil on this

Here is what he actually said about the tune, again did you even listen?. He is spot on too. Installing an intake and tune on an NA GT350 minus E85 is dumb. Super dumb.

The second piece of information is that it was tuned. So the first owner had installed an aftermarket air intake as well as an aftermarket tune. In my mind, that's a big red flag.
First of all, running a tune on a naturally aspirated engine just isn't going to give you that much benefit. It's already running rich. It's already running a high compression ratio, spark advance. It already requires premium fuel. So, I just think a tune for an air intake is a bad idea. Leave it stock. It already has an enormous airbox. I really just don't see the upside. So, when the engine was replaced, it was reverted back to the stock tune and stock airbox.

Here is what he said about the S2000, I'm not sure what the problem is.

I once owned an S2000, an incredible car with an engine that
screamed to 9,000 RPM. This is basically V8 S2000. It's significantly heavier,
but it's far more powerful, too. It even
makes more torque per liter than the
S2000 engine. And 90% of the torque is
available from about 3500 RPM. So
whereas the S2000 made all of its torque
torque at the very top and actually does
have more power per liter than this
engine, the curve of the Voodoo engine
is better.
yeah I dont do oil changes on my mustang, I just top it off every 500 miles

I follow him and his channel, I've really enjoyed his past videos a lot. Seems like a very smart guy who tries to simplify engineering and puts a lot of effort into his videos. I'll definitely follow along to to see what he does with the car - I'm sure he'll enjoy it as much as a lot of us do here.

I did notice that the CarFax he showed regarding the 2018 he purchased, said "GT350R"... his is not an "R".
Editing goof-up?
It is an entertaining video however and I enjoyed his content.

The Carfax reports have been labeling all GT350s as 350Rs lately. Not sure what's up with that.

I saw something somewhere about that. I think they said the ‘R’ represents Trademark; which is typically the R in the circle.

The R on the Carfax for the regular GT350 is for Registered Trademark. Most have a circle around them.

I was thinking that too. I recall seeing that circled R trademark on some window stickers but don't see them anymore. 🤷‍♂️

The IRS in 99 was lacking. A friend who owns a buisness made lots of money making them better.

I find it interesting the replacement engine was built less than a year ago. That is a bit concerning regarding how many engines are continuing to fail 😂

Yes, I thought it was 1996
...Whatever year they first had the 32v engine.

The DOHC engine and the IRS both came out when I was in college, and they were a big deal in all the car magazines.
Wikipedia says the IRS started with the 1999 Cobra. They could be right. My memory from when I was 20 years old is not perfect. 😅

I think I remember some of the skeptics saying something about roll center or dynamic camber.
The autocross crowd, and maybe some mechanics, said that the issues were because the IRS was an afterthought, and the subframe had to fit the attachment points and clearances for a live-axle chassis. Everything would be different and better if they'd designed it with IRS from the outset.

I certainly haven't found any issues with my S550's IRS.

I had a '96 SVT Cobra. Had a stick rear axle. IRS did NOT come out until the '99 SVT Cobra!

I have never and I mean NEVER wanted to buy a GT350 until today after I watched this video. The only thing that holds me back is that his has the Ford racing springs and sway bars. That's not a bad thing, its just something else to change.
Clearly didn't watch the video, its Fords most unique build EVER..... Go drive one then come tell us about it here.

You got one I can come drive? I don't want to waste a salesman's time when he could be really selling cars.
