Hi!
I have a 2022 Ecoboost Convertible.. When stopped at idle, the engine shudders for a few seconds, then recovers and repeats. I don't have any other driveability issues, and gas mileage hasn't changed. Any ideas on what this could be? The car has 62k and I replaced the spark plugs 2 weeks ago with oem plugs

Hey Frank!

This is a problem I have encountered with my 2021 Ecoboost as well. The issue is most often caused by a bad factory purge valve that Ford now sells an updated version of. I'm pretty sure they just neglected to put the updated version in the car from the factory, but you can pick one up from the ParkerPerformance website (here), either as a standalone part or you can purchase their "Ecoboost Maintenance Package", which includes an updated Low Pressure Fuel sensor (another part in these vehicles that is very, very susceptible to early failure that can cause serious consequences) and new spark plugs as well.

If you're the DIY type, fortunately this maintenance upgrade is incredibly simple and ParkerPerformance has a great video on their YouTube channel (here) that shows you exactly how to go about doing so, along with tutorials for replacing everything else included in the maintenance pack.

I have a feeling you'll opt for just the updated purge valve because I can see in your original post that you've already replaced your plugs recently, but when you're due for your next spark plug replacement, I definitely do recommend going with the NGK Spark Plugs that ParkerPerformance offers because they are much higher quality than the OEM ones from Ford.

Hope this helped!
