Engine Oil

Getting ready to start using the GT 350 real soon. What are guys using for engine oil ? Ford Motorcraft or is there a better option.

Next question is, I have not driven it all winter, but it was changed in January . Do you recommend changing it now or put 3-5000 miles on and then do the first years oil change ?

If just dailying it leaving the oil should be just fine, its basically new. If plannning to track it, I'd change it.

Motorcraft makes great oil. There are problaby better out there, but the question is if its worth the money, IMO it's not. More so if you are changing oil every 3-5K or just once a year. To each their own though.

Beautiful Bullitt Mustang. Thank you for the advice. I purchased a 2017 GT 350 with 12,000 miles on it from a ford dealer this past January, CPO, and I have only driven it once due to the weather here in maine, so I just was not sure with this engine if it made any difference to drop the engine oil that has been sitting for 3 months and install new engine oil fresh. I will not be tracking the car for at least 2-3 months. Thank you.

This topic has been talked about a lot on this forum. If you want lots of opinions just do a search. I use the factory recommended oil. It gets changed relatively frequently due to harsh usage.
