There is as much rethoric over there regarding oil and oil filters as there is on every other auto forum.

Considering the number of exotic car manufacturer's that use Mobil 1 as the factory fill to say it is junk is an ignorant statement.

It also disturbs me that Penzoil sponsors them. Nothing against Penzoil, but when you are sponsored by a big oil company keeping objectivity is hard.

I am gonna go with Motorcraft 5/30 full synthetic in the EB. I have used the synblend in all my new fords and have had no problems. We have probably racked up over 500k miles with out any issues.

I'm going with Mobile 1 0w-40 for my first change. I still have tons of it leftover from my dearly departed AMG.

This past weekend I averaged 30.4 MPG on a 500 mile trip after changing out factory fill oil to Royal Purple 5-20. I drove the same as before but my mileage improved by 2 MPG. Changed over to RP at 3,000 miles. Runs pretty!!!

One thing I noticed from all the "oil guy" engineers doing testing on these oils, Mobil 1 5w-30 seems to always be in the top performers.
