Certainly there are smarter folk on here that can elaborate on this but my understanding is the main and rod bearings would be the primary source.
The main and rod bearings typically have a base coating of copper. The same goes for camshaft bearings, but some can have a copper outer coating. Piston pin bushings can have copper outer coatings. That's probably where the copper is from (break-in).

Does the Black Stone analysis show the cylinder bore materials .....
nanocrystalline iron and ferrous-oxide ? I failed the periodic table chart thing.... maybe my question is already answered in the posted file.
You'd see increased amount of iron and aluminum for sure. I'm not entirely sure the exact filler that Ford is using on the Coyote...

Honestly, any potential issue will be lost in the noise of break-in, unless there is a sever issue. The best thing is to get constant analysis to be able to highlight some kind of trend once the engine wears in completely.

I asked a machinist that owns an engine shop and does Coyote engines. He said Ford uses Clevite Tri-Metal bearings on crank and rod.

The cam bearings in the Coyote are just plain aluminum ... just like most motorcycles use. No bearing inserts like on a crank or rod bearing.

Did anyone see Michael Macs oil analysis. Its more data for us even if I wouldn't run the oil weight that he runs.

He shows a clip of what he thinks the "ticking" is at time 3:30. But there is no BBQ ticking that I can hear ... that engine sounds as quiet as any Coyote can be.

His ticking is not even close to some of the other videos posted in this forum. I can hear is slightly at time 12:45 in this video of hs, but compared to other videos of the BBQ tick, it's hardly there. Probably a 1/3 or 1/2 bottle of Cera Tec would make it disappear. That guy sure has issues with conducting oil changes ... LoL.

if that random tick is "normal" then all the hype is 100% BS and the only issue is the rattle

All BBQ ticks are not the same ... they vary all over the place, and some are way more noticeable and worse than others. On the other hand, it seems like the 2000 RPM rattle in the 2018+ Coyote is more consistent in sound.

oh i know there are many different ticks. but what causes a random bottom end tapping? his might even be quieter than others due to 5w40 and not 20
