Trying to determine the "bang for the buck" winner without taking power into account (seems impossible with all the fueling and tuning complications). Right off the bat, Lethal looks to have the edge because they include an intercooler.

Best bang for buck would be buying the used full race 7163 kit for 3700 from Brad Mashlum.

The best bang for your buck may very well be the Vargas Stage II (twin scroll). They're gonna do a Black Friday sale for those that missed out on the pre-sale, but even at the full price of $2k, it could very well be a great option.

True, but I'd like to consider big turbos vs. stock location upgrades as a separate matter.

The new Borg Warner turbos that just debuted at SEMA might also be an option.

Full race with the new twin scroll manifold of theirs, best in the biz. Get the 7670 and be done.

results are better than opinions

UPR is the fastest in the world and uses the cp-e Borg ERF kit
BG Racing is the second fastest and also uses the cp-e PTE kit
both in the 9's:hail:

it has an engine!
I dont have an ecoboost but id use cpe or fullrace. I had experience with fullrace on one of my subarus.

Ets probably has a kit in the works too. They also make great packages and parts. Another great option for you ecoboost folks if it comes to light. Currently have Ets on my dd sti. Cant shake a stick at a low 9 to high 9 second sti depending on psi.

The ONLY reason I see the Lethal Performance being the best bang is if somebody went from bone stock to the turbo kit. Othrewise if they are already modded I would expect them to already have an intercooler, which is why I like that most of the EFR kits now have the intercooler as an option. I already have a Level's unit and it can be used with most of the kits with their charge pipes.

The one question I do have, is what is the efr7163 rated for power wise? Not seen that option before. I know the 7064 and the 7670 and that's about it.

The CP-E turbo kit with the BG Twin will 100% do what anyone is looking to do. From basic set ups to setting records. These will work. One of the key items to this turbo kit that no one else does is they built a cast manifold. So you know it will last as long as the car. Over time tubular designs will crack and weaken.

The CP-E turbo kit allows for a simple install and you can re-use any intercooler you have with factory style connection. Turbo upgrades are simple as just swapping. Running a stock fuel or a Aux kit like the one we use from CP-E will get you that extra fuel to allow more power and even a full E85 swap like we use.

IMO... Spend it once and do it right.. Go CP-E! We will be having a Black Friday sale on there turbo kits as well.

I can't recommend the Lethal kit in it's current form sadly. Not with out some rework. I purchased the kit for my personal car, and i had so many fitment problems with the initial install. Thankfully lethal promptly reimbursed me for everything i had to fix. I had the kit on a total of 1,300 miles over a 2 month period, and the manifold cracked at the vband weld. The downpipe has no flex section & the manifold/turbo has no bracing. This is what ultimately lead to the crack in such a short period of time. Lethal says they've added bracing to the manifold, but really what they need is some form of turbo support. I hope they do some extended testing with this revision as i am moving onto a sturdy cast CP-E manifold that Ron@cp-e hooked me up with =D.
