The car he's talking about was a base auto with some good weight reduction

Depends on if the dealer put crap 87 gas in it, but yes.
I'm having a hard time believing a BONE STOCK EB can run low 13s even with the best 93 gas in the country :D

Reason the stock EB feels especially slow to me is because I came from an 11sec daily driver. My previous turbo vehicle ran 11s on straight 93 and then I added methanol injection which brought the car to another level.

I never made it to the drag strip with the meth system installed as the car kept blowing head gaskets and drivetrain parts after turning up the wick with the meth but it was def a low 11 sec car.

One thing I can say though is that stock vs stock the EB is faster than my Eclipse was.
"as the car kept blowing head gaskets and drivetrain parts after turning up the wick"
Comparing cars that blow up with cars that don't isn't really fair unless it is just a race car...

As far as the "nimble" question goes, My Miata was nimble. Very, very nimble. This car is much more of a grand touring feel, tossable, but not exactly nimble.

EBs don't blow up? :eyebulge: Trust me, EBs motors would be just as unreliable pushing the amount of power I was with my previous car.

Also, the car was blowing head gaskets not windowing blocks like the EBs are doing with minimal mods.

Most of Adam tune guys are running these numbers as your previous cars with no motors blowing up

That wasn't your argument. You were comparing a stock EB (that is very unlikely to blow up) with a highly modified car that does blow up. Not a valid comparison. Some people need cars that don't blow up.

My argument is that stock EBs are slow. Even more so to me because I've owned a quick car. Those who think stock EBs are quick may never have owned a "quick" car.

Then again, every person's definition of quick is going to differ so there's no point in arguing.

I love my EB and I do think it has great potential.

lol what he's getting at is that this is not the case with any customer. Nobody has run 11s on 93. Not to mention there are only like 3* of his customers in the 11s

Completely stock down to the air in the tires. Not hard to believe, just not easy to do either. DRVRMOD

None. There probably would be more in the 11's but a) people don't go to the track and rather spend time in "Mexico" b) there are plenty of people who need DRVRMOD and c) MT-82.

I am wondering how many of these peeps are still rocking the mustang ecoboost that they purchased way back when .
Presently I have modified the suspension , brakes and intercooler ... leaving the engine alone . I like the MPG .

There is to much wisdom floating around these threads to attempt tuning and bolt ons ...just read the many confessions about the ship jumpers and back to stock quotes and for sale signs .. stay safe out there !
