Hey guys, I'm considering picking up an 18 ecoboost auto in the near future. Looking to get a more efficient daily driver as the Hellcat is really just a weekend car, getting 10mpg is not fun lol. I'd rather not get a Prius or such as I still want a fun daily driver. I tried to search but there is not much in the realm of real world mpg that has been posted. So please post your numbers. I'm curious as I am sure are others. Please for the purposes of the thread just ecoboost numbers no gt's.

Also let's keep this 18 only since the engine and trans are different from the 15-17

You'll be getting around 16mpg for the first 10,000 miles. Once the car was broken in, I did a highway trip about 260 miles round trip, got 31mpg. City driving stuck in traffic is 20.2 consistently.

My 2.7 F150 does 17.2 mpg in the same driving. I do not drive efficiently at all if that helps.

2018 EB Prem. w/PP (3.55 rear) + 10R80
Current miles is only over 2,200 (still not really broken in yet)

Daily Driver
Trans Mode: mostly “D”, but sometimes “S”
Fuel: 89 octane
Drive type: 85% Highway driving, 15% “City”
Highway mph: avg approx. 65mph
Current MPG: 27.6
Current Mods: None, all stock

One other thing to consider is the fuel mixtures will be changing for the upcoming warmer seasons in the “winter” States; usually when that happens I see better mpg by at least 1-1.5mpg.

—— just as a note for comparison sakes:
My prior 2016 EB Prem. w/PP (3.55 rear) + 6R80
Same exact driving style and parameters as noted above, I was getting 28.9 MPG - with the only Mods being an Airaid CAI and Steeda TB spacer, plus that car I accrued just over 36k on it... so it was broken in well.

I bought the 2016 new as well and noticed that as the miles were accrued, the MPGs also got better. So I really expect the same to happen with my 2018.

I had a 15 Ecoboost and now have a 17. My commute is 50 miles round trip on 2 lane state hiway with 7 traffic lights. The speed limit varies between 35 and 45 mph. I average tank to tank commuting 27 to 30 mpg. On a hiway trip that uses most of a trip keeping at 70 mph I get 31 to 32 mpg.

Both cars had 3.55 gears and manual transmissions. Both cars were tuned.

'16 EcoBoost Premium Convertible. 95% or more city driving on very busy streets with lots of stop lights. I have averaged 20.1 for the last 1000 miles.

Easily do 27+ on the highway, when I get on it.

My 16 ecoboost traded in at 25k miles with an average of 26.8 mpg. On a 1500 mile road trip I averaged 31-33mpg depending on the fuel. This was tuned with the Ford package and wide MPSS.

Not sure the ‘17 would be drastically dif from the ‘18...for me 50% hiway/50% urban: 23.5 avg overall but admittedly I’m always first away from a stoplight, always in Sport+ Mode and love hiway bursts of speed. Took a 120 mile trip @60mph and got 34mpg.

Average 23.5 MPG majority city. I got 28.5 on a highway trip at 70-80MPH. But, I am in CO at higher elevation.

Had a '16 Ecoboost Premium and averaged 26 mpg stock. After doing the VTA mod, my mpg went down 2 even though the car runs off of a MAP not a MAF. Can't explain it, but nothing else changed.

Do yourself a favor and get the PP. The brake upgrade is night and day difference and the 3.31 gear ratio sucked ass, so you'll want the 3.55. With the 3.31, I couldn't use 6th gear until 80 mph. Under 80 mph, it had no usable power.

Oh I was, I'm still a fan of performance. Planing on 101a, PP, mag ride, A10. While I want either orange or crimson, this combo of options is rare so I'm open on color. Just want an idea of the fuel economy as I'm trying to convince myself I don't need a Mazda 3
