So basically the difference in mpg between the 2.3 and the 5.0 is negligable. Maybe 1 or 2 more but thats it all basically a sales gimmick. I have averaged 21.9 mpg over 11,500 miles mixed 50/50 driving.
I definitely wouldn't say it's negligible, especially if you average what most people are reporting here. I'd say you're on the high side of GT PP mileage and I'm probably on the low (based on what I've read for others) for an EB PP. I will admit that I was hoping for slightly better mileage, but I don't really drive it on the highway that much.

My last trip to Texas I got 34 mpg on a 2,000 mile round trip. Not too sure my mpg difference in a GT would have been negligible. Also, is your 21.9 real, or indicated? My indicated mpg was nearly 2 mpg optimistic before I corrected it.

All this is priorities and choices; I don't understand why GT owners would bother with mpg bragging rights, no more so than Ecoboost owners would bother with 1/4 mile bragging rights. We ALL own a really great vehicle IMO.

On a straight hwy trip my mpg is 30, but the 22mpg was the lifetime 11,000 mile total ive driven the car on. Which is better than my 06 13 and 14 gt manuals! So i would say negligable since the miles i put on were not all easy miles and i dont do much long hwy trips yet.

I was looking for posts with MPGs so I can read up on what people are getting in realistic numbers, but i'm sure I wasn't looking hard enough because I couldn't find it. So, I just got the 2017 ecoboost last weekend and i've already filled her up once and both times, it tells me i'm under 20 mpg. I am never past 3000 RPMs because i'm still breaking her in. I'm very easy on the acceleration but from time to time I spike it up when I need to pass someone. Can anyone help me figure out what I'm doing wrong? I'd like to get decent mileage so that when I want to go a little faster, it won't kill my mpg avg too much. Thanks.
Reset on trip on Atlantic City Expressway with cruise set at 70 ( also have smart cruise in my 2018.i got 35 mpg

My prior responses in this thread pertained to my prior 2016 EB Premium w/Perf Pack - that also was with the 6R80.

My 2018 EB Premium w/Perf Pack & 10R80:
Avg: 28.9
Trip 2: I always use Trip 2 as my weekly “reset”. Last reset as of last week, it was an even 30mpg.
Current accrued miles: 7,520

I don’t and haven’t touched any other settings since taking delivery of the car this past Feb.

Fuel used is Gulf 89 octane and my travel consists of 85% highway and 15% city. I also travel just over 500mi weekly, excluding any weekend excursions.

I can usually get a little better than 30 mpg per tank, more highway than city.

What's the biggest number y'all have seen on "miles to empty"? I've seen 462 right after a fill up.

Trip 1 showing over 10,000 miles, average is 25.4mpg

Base ecoboost, standard rear end , modified as shown in sig

half mileage is city, half is 70mph expressway

I drive like a freakin idiot and overall probably 15% in sport mode.
