What blown Ecoboost engines are you referring to? And what "issues with the stock block" are you referencing?

Almost all failures on this forum have been on tuned vehicles. Any other failures are extremely few and far between, it's not like it's a "common" problem whatsoever.

Amazing how easily things get blown out of proportion. Go enjoy your car and stop worrying about the fraction of a percentage of vehicles that had a manufacturing defect. Not to mention the fact that you're covered by a 5 year, 60,000 mile warranty, so as long as you don't induce a failure with an aftermarket modification, every part of your powertrain is warrantied.
The folks that are not tuned have nothing to worry about. It's the folks that are tuned.. so no warranty for them and that's why they are somewhat worried. Shoot I will be too..

Given how New the s550 is give it a few more months more will pop up I'm sure of it.
It's quite obvious that you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

S550s have been out for almost a full year. The only additional "problems" that will "pop up" is people blowing up their engines due to aftermarket modifications.

You sure like to blame aftermarket mods for issues. You must be fun at parties. Not gonna argue with some troll/tard over the interwebs. And if you think 1 year is long you're more stupid then I orignally thought u were LoL.

Considering you can't even spell "originally" right, it's quite obvious who the "stupid" one is here.

99% of Ecoboost failures are due to owner modifications. Just because you want to deny that doesn't change the facts. The only "troll" here is you; essentially you want to mod your car and then have the manufacturer pay for the damage when you blow it up. You're living in a fantasy world, welcome to the real world kid.

Nice try kid.

You try and call people out for being "stupid", and yet you can't even spell basic words right. How ironic.

There is no need to "judge" your intelligence, your ridiculous posts prove to everyone how little you have.

If I compare this to any other turbo performance car on the market, the EB Mustang surely is not more prone to engine blowing / failure than other models / manufacturers. You will find lots of threads about blown up BMWs, STIs, Golf GTIs, Nissans and whatnot... All these cars are rather mass produced and every once in a while you will find a lemon among them that can't handle (even quality) mods - or will even blow up in stock configuration.

This doesn't mean that all of the will have problems. Plenty of EB Mustangs are being pushed hard and take a lot of abuse. There's a thread somewhere where people have stated several 10k miles with a tune on. Ford has been building turbocharged cars for a while and they know how to build it properly.

Be aware of LSPI though and your car will be thankful in the long run.

Pretty sure Joe has a quality tune, supporting mods and what not . only other issue is probably LSPI. Other than that just sounds like the stock block has issues to me.
Any block will have "issues" (like holes appearing through the side of the block) when the rod snaps and the piston shatters into 3 pieces. The cause of the failures seen here are failing rods/pistons from too much stress. Not a block issue.

I'm LMS tuned for over 15,000 miles without a single engine related issue. I'm at almost 21k total

It seems there are four issue engines

Mattrix (op) - No tune (had a tune, took it off), JMS boostmax, pedal max, MMR intake
Joe_Stang - Tune, MAP intercooler, Catless down pipes, MMR intake
Fastertoo - MMR intake
and
dragonace posted a picture of a broken connecting rod and two piece piston.

Is the common thread are these autos rather then 6 speed manuals? Were these cars punched from a low rpm could that be something to be cautious of and considered abusive?

would be interesting if thats the case. there's probably a split second or so when you floor it on a high gear before the 6R80 reacts and downshifts

Add me to the list of blown engines. Blew one back in April, stock with tune. Manual car.

I won't say because I don't believe the tune was responsible. I will say I still use the same tuner with no issues.
