Non of what you said about the EB applies to mine.. Lol.Well I'll bring this up because this is something that isn't touched on much with the Eco-Boost, or also cars like Audi with their Turbos.
They require PREMIUM fuel to get the power you need, especially in the Mustang since the car weights a lot. Audis require it mandatory..you can't run regular.
So the gas/mileage savings is almost negligible between the GT and EB when you factor in cost with gallons bought per filling up the EB.
If you go by a 15 gallon tank and using combined MPG, the EB is going to get you 375 miles. The GT is 285.
BUT you have to factor in cost of premium vs regular (and you can run regular just fine in the GT and never notice the difference. You for sure will in the EB).
The .50 difference in premium vs regular nets you about a $8 dollar savings. With gas being under $2 now you can get 4 additional gallons bought with the savings of regular in the GT for that savings which equals out to 76 more miles.
So for same price paid the EB is going to get you 375 miles. The GT is going to get you 361. So 14 gallons. Over the course of a year if you filled up once a week its like a $200 savings IF that.
Sure you have to fill up a tad more...but if you're talking cost and why you are getting the EB is because of MPG, it's not as good as you think it is.
And those EB window stickers don't usually end up accurate.
Just wanted to point this out in terms of miles per gallon bought and the type of gas you need. Lots don't consider this.
I'm just doing math with the base numbers given by Ford and cost of gas. Every person's MPG is different.Non of what you said about the EB applies to mine.. Lol.
