Ebony 68b Package... What is it?

So do we have any clear pictures or concrete information on the EBONY 68b package yet?

- Charcoal Black Interior

- Color accented Seats

- Unique Door Trim

- Aluminum I/P panel

I see a whole thread talking about the I/P panel but nothing about what the charcoal black interior is and is it different from the normal interior? Is the accents just the white or is there different colors? Is there just the one door trim? Because it looks exactly the same as the dark saddle or the ceramic. Still so confused with the 68B ebony package...

Hello Tricia,

I was wondering if you could get a picture from ford detailing what 68b does to a ebony leather interior. Does the premium come with the white stitching standard? I haven't seen a picture with ebony interior without the white stitching aside from redline. I am trying to order this week and want the white stitching on the seats and door panel. Everything else doesn't matter as I'm getting PP and most other things in 68b it overrides.

The stitching for that package is Metal Gray and it comes on the door panels as well.

Unfortunately, I do not have any pictures that I can share at this time.

But like likeaboss said, we don't have any visual confirmation as to what this really is. There's a couple threads with a car with ebony leather and supposedly premier trim packaging according to the window sticker, but i've linked FordService those pictures and we still can't get an answer yet. Also the stitching in the pictures is more white, it's unclear as to what Metal gray looks like. The stitching could look almost white, but I don't know for sure.

I think the charcoal is a much darker interior.

I also noticed this in a picture that I never noticed before. Look at the door panel on this photo below and then compare it to the next photo below. It doesn't have the 3 stripe stitching door trim like most shots have of the interior. Maybe that is base vs premium?

That's because it's the base cloth interior and the only pic i've seen showing it. Every other interior has been premium

Yeah...metal gray stitching? This info is a freaking mess on Ford's end...it could look cool if it matches the aluminum trim throughout the car, but otherwise I'd say that white is a better look. More confused than ever after seeing that comment the other day; it seemed like we had it figured out for a brief moment and now there's yet another curve.

There's so many pictures to go through...but I know there was an interior shot someplace with darker stitching along the door trim which might be it.

Ebony 68b gives you:
white stitching on dash
White stitching on armrest and gearshift boot
White stitching on door insert
White stitching on seats with a slightly different seat cover design front and back than the standard car (looks like an extra row of stitching )

If you get leather recaros the recaros with white stitching replace the standard front seats rest is the same

From the pics out there it might technically be grey but it looks close enough that the difference in my opinion isn't that big of a deal I think it will look white unless under extremely close inspection which doesn't bother me at all. Probably just the semantics of fords color naming conventions

I'll put it this way...there are pics of charcoal/gray interiors with white stitching and charcoal door/door panel inserts, pics of darker interiors with dark stitching...can't even see it, and then something that falls in between the other two. Who knows what is what.
