I went with Z23 pads and the blank/geomet coted rotors. They go on next week...just can't do the drilled/slotted thing based on my likes and lack of well...anything track related, lol.
Honestly...if it's not truly torque to yield legit like chevy tends to do, I imagine just about everybody reuses just about everything way more often than they would care to admit lol. I'm just going to loctite/grease everything and whatever...
That's kind of what I mean, haha. I can easily track the rears, but the fronts? It's like as if they don't exist; literally lol.
I imagine I'm just going to end up going the clean/reuse route since it's like a dead-end as far as easily finding OEM stuff for all front/rear.
So I'm scrounging for parts for an upcoming pad/rotor swap...I've found some bolt/pin kits for the rears, and bolt kits for the front, but I can't find front guide pins like for the rears. Dumb question...but do the 2 piston standard front brakes not have guide pins or something?
Just...
Yeah that's what I thought, I don't think they have my stuff available at the moment then.
I mean that's exactly what I'd like to find though...if anybody out there could help me track down a 2 piston standard Ecoboost/Non-performance package hardware kit for the front and rear, man I'd be...
nevermind...just saw the OP site lol. Dumb question...I'm going to link a couple of things if you could look and let me know if I'm ok or not. I'm just standard Premium Ecoboost breaks without any performance package or upgrades, so that's where I'm a bit shaky as these say performance package...
Dumb question that I can't get an answer to exactly...but do these brakes and kits come with pin bushings/boots? Do I need to track that down separately, and what's up with the included hardware? Is what comes with it actually good/useful, or do I want to go another route for the hardware itself?
I'll put it this way... mixing and matching the rotors with even the Z23 pads is stll a lot cheaper than the Z17+rotors package deal on AM at the moment:
PowerStop Mustang Z23 Evolution Sport Brake Rotor and Pad Kit; Front and Rear K6808 (15-23 Mustang EcoBoost w/o Performance Pack, V6) - Free...
So I'm going to need to do brakes/rotors for my 2015 Ecoboost and was curious if you guys had any opinions about Powerstop Evolution Coated Rotors...and then Z16/17 pads vs Z23 pads to go with them. Zero track use and just daily driving; any thoughts on the rotors, and any reason to go with Z23s...
Just went with the front shocks/mounts and wow what a difference...might end up doing the rears in the spring when I do brakes/rotors. Just depends on if I want to keep it or not after getting to screw around with an S650 in person; might end up keeping my Ecoboost a while longer TBH as I think...
Hey,
So I've got a 2015 Ecoboost Premium with factory 20 inch wheels. I have a little over 90k on my car and my front right side strut/top mount is starting to clunk around. My mechanic said that the rear shocks are still good and just to replace the front struts and mounting hardware/reuse my...
Yup...100% agreed, but I've gone directional and non-directional before and am used to living with it TBH. I've been able to run them in 35-75 degree weather so far and life has been great with these lol. I might get a shot at snow this Monday and will test them some for kicks; WV springtime...
I'm making this a sort of "yeah...it's not ugly" thread since the internet is full of hate talk/looks like a tire exaggerations. There's some really crappy photos circulating around if you just run a google search; same goes with catching them in person on something like a Hyundai Accent.
I'll...
I ended up with the BFGs; and coming from Firestones to these, so far I'm fine with it. For highway cruising and daily use, these are a very nice tire that have a noticeable uptick in ride quality/comfort and no I do not have any issues with road noise. They feel planted in the rain and just...
It's like 95% off topic and has little to do with actual discussion of UHP All Seasons vs Summers. You suggesting that I missed something? Please share, as I would love to see some actual info and direct thoughts related to the actual topic or any of the specific tires that I've mentioned.
Riddle me this...
I've got a 2.3 2015 with stock 20s which I've always run 275/35/20s square, each of the last two generation Firestone Indy 500s, aside from the 265/35/20 Pirelli PZero summers that came stock. Always ran them yearly, even in winter when roads were not bad...even slowly and...
I am so curious about these specifically on a 20 inch 275/35/20 type of size but will take ANY photo help if you can. I'm in need of new tires and have bounced from stock Pirellis and Firestone Indy 500s both current and last gen...I MIGHT be better off with an AS tire just to hold back on...
