Let's not overlook air density. Last week I drove to the airport in Roanoke in 45 degree weather I got over 32 mpg on the 75 mile trip. Today, same exact route, less traffic, made almost all the lights couldn't manage over 28 in 16 degree weather. The denser the air is the more fuel is being injected to meet the target AFR.

So if it's really cold you're going to get crap mileage.

So has anyone real experience on the difference of mpg between 91 and 93 octane fuel?

Let's not forget that besides winter blend fuel, in extreme cold the car takes much longer to warm to operating temperature will use much more fuel. Short trips are like having a gas leak!

I just went on a 175 mile trip this weekend. With the cruise set at 85 (yay for 80mph speed limits here) I was getting about 26.4mpg.

Our winter blend fuel is really horrible stuff. I expect it to get quite a bit better come spring.

If I set the cruise around 65, 30mpg is doable.

We have less then 2k miles on it and it is winter so we let the car warm up....I've yet to average above 20MPG and most of this is city driving....hoping it gets better in the summer.....

I'm in a cold climate and have a six mile commute each way to work, usually driving 30-40 mph and have very few stops. I've only been getting about 22.5 mph over the course of 1600 miles.

I seem to be getting around 24.5 with a mix of driving. Better than my 2013 Fusion Titanium I had, that got around 21 over the time i had it.

I have a 50 mile round trip suburban commute there are 7 traffic lights on the trip of which I always hit 1/2 green and never have to sit through two cycles. The speed limit is mostly 45 and drops to 35 in business areas.

I have been averaging 28-29 mpg on a tank to tank average. I filled one morning and used my best hypermiling to see how good I got get it going to work, 34.7 mpg. I fully expect to get over 30 on a tank to tank average when the weather gets warm and they switch back to summer blend gas.

No idea, but it's going to suffer because I cant stay out of boost when driving around..lol. Then again, I am trying to burn up the crap 87 octane gas that the dealer filled it with. Quicker that junk is gone the better.
