Just got a little more info. The Incentive Protection Program is something your dealer will have to register for no more than 30 days prior to the sale. It is not something they have to register for at time oforder. My buddy on another site is looking for the 2014 Incentive Protection Program PDF (He found 2013, 2012, and 2011). Talk to your sales guy and point them to search for the program on Dealerconnection and or contact the department via [email protected] or 877-296-9427.

Guess, in the final analysis, one has to simply go with their gut instincts. For myself, I`m good with forfeiting 5 or 10 days of Warrantee Coverage by locking in all (my) eligible Incentives on 1/5. I did the same back in 7/10 locking in my 2011 Fiesta monies on Mon the 24th of July and picking the Car up and driving it home 5 days later on Sat the 29th. I agree with mkenney28, to each their own and do whatever you feel most comfortable with.

My dealer told me I'd be eligible for the best incentives over the time between order and delivery. We'll see how that works out in February.

Best incentives over the time between order and delivery that are available and have (not) yet expired is more likely. Ford Parters or Ford Marketing might be a more reliable source of exactly what you will be dealing with. Promises made even in good faith will disappear if the Dealer can`t get Ford to compensate them for the Incentives at the point of delivery.

That's a fact. Those promises include the one where I take delivery. :p

I think you have to at least sign up with EAA before 1/3 (tomorrow) and though their fine print states you have to take delivery by 1/5, it appears you can get grandfathered in based on the other feedback seen in this thread....but I would join EAA now if you hope to do that! :)

Log into EAA after you sign up, and there is an area for "discounts" or something, and there is a link on there to the Ford eCert website which has a form to fill out and you will get the eCert instantly (and via e-mail). Sorry I don't remember tall the steps exactly.

I got this response after asking for more clarification:

Hello Michael,

The eCertificate will still expire, but because you were eligible for that rebate at time of order, it is protected under a different program called Order Protection/Incentive Protection.

This program ensures that you receive the same amount in incentives at time of delivery that you qualified for at time of order. The name of the offers may shift little, but the program protects the amount you were eligible for, not any one specific program. The $750 EAA incentive is a direct offer that is included in that amount that is protected.

We hope this provides more clarification for you.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thank you,

C and I Help

Make sure you give the info to your dealer and if they don't know about it tell them to search for it on their Dealer Connection site. They will need to register for it based on all the info I have found. There is also a help email address and a phone number I posted earlier in this thread.

I ordered my car on 12/31. I also submitted a valid X-Plan Pin and EAA Pin. The company computer immediately accepted the X-Plan. However, even up today, 01/02, my dealer was having trouble getting Ford to accept the EAA rebate. Their excuse is that yesterday was a Holiday. The problem is the EAA plan ends 01/03 and 01/05, depending on which document you read. It was great that Ford put an end date on the EAA plan which is surrounded by a National Holiday and a weekend.
My gut instinct is telling me that Ford will refuse the $750 EAA rebate even tho' I submitted it about a week ahead of the dead end. I think that Ford is going to say that it was my dealer's fault for not knowing how to submit the EAA rebate correctly, and my dealer saying that it was Ford's fault for not having any office open for nearly a week at the end of plan's deadline and that I should have ordered earlier.
