Just tested E74-75 at my local pump. Tuner recommended nothing under E78. Should I swap back to my flex tune until I can get better E? Thanks

I would go by what your tuner says, but anything e70 and above should be fine for that. Who's tune?

Never heard of them so i can't give any comments on where they locked in your timing parameters, but any tuner worth a crap knows you want some buffer room and these cars hit MBT well under using pure e-85.

This current tank I have in it tested at e80 - I’m not a tuner so I can’t speak on anything of the sort but it’s a pretty aggressive tune

any tune for e85 is going to be the same aggressive tune. All of these cars max out at the same range of ethanol and the amount of timing you get. but this also depends on who is making the tune and if they know what they are doing.

Yeah fair enough - my local guy is a pretty damn reputable tuner around my parts so I have no doubts about the tune. Just trying to play it on the safe side

And I know it’s a crapshoot for info as I’ll get a million different answers but I always hear some say e70 some say e75 and some say (like my tuner above e75)

Only your tuner will know this and he literally told you. My "E85 tune" was set to E70 and above.

All good man. Its always best to follow what your tuner says as they are the ones behind the keyboard. and your right. everyone on the Internet will say something different, but this is my 4th S550 and i was actually a "tester" for a tuner in early 2018 for the first batch of the e85 fun on the Gen 3s

I’ve always considered E70 and above perfectly fine. I believe the benefits of E run out before E70 so it’s likely a conservative threshold unless your tuner is running you very aggressively.

What would you consider very aggressively
