Hi All,
Its been a while since ive posted. I promised to give my thoughts on Lunds e85 tune.
1st, i switched to the 93 tune and its better than stock. no question. More power down low. Nothing super obvious, but its noticeable if like me you have been angry about the lack of grunt below 4k. Your friends in the car may or may not notice a difference.
The e85 is a game changer. The car pulls hard from 2500 all the way to redline (which is a sweet 8k now).
The low end torque is phenomenal. On the highway if i wanted to move around somone quickly, i would need to downshift into 3rd, and rev to about 4k. Now, i can downshift once, and 2700k is enough to make the thing move out.
Put another way, im pretty sure that i have chirped the tires going into 3rd on a hard shift.
My friend who had a GT350 (sold, because of constant issues) rode in my mustang.
He made the comment that he was pretty sure that mine was noticeably faster.
I was fairly disappointed by the coyote before the tune. its not that its bad, or slow. Its just without the torque down low you dont have that visceral pull of acceleration. Have owned multiple turbo cars with fat torque curves, it felt hollow. Now however, it feels fantastic.
Starting has not been difficult at all.
MPG is about 20 on the highway 15 combined.
If you are on the fence at all about the e85 tune, just do it, it makes it a different car.
