Hi All,

Its been a while since ive posted. I promised to give my thoughts on Lunds e85 tune.

1st, i switched to the 93 tune and its better than stock. no question. More power down low. Nothing super obvious, but its noticeable if like me you have been angry about the lack of grunt below 4k. Your friends in the car may or may not notice a difference.

The e85 is a game changer. The car pulls hard from 2500 all the way to redline (which is a sweet 8k now).
The low end torque is phenomenal. On the highway if i wanted to move around somone quickly, i would need to downshift into 3rd, and rev to about 4k. Now, i can downshift once, and 2700k is enough to make the thing move out.

Put another way, im pretty sure that i have chirped the tires going into 3rd on a hard shift.

My friend who had a GT350 (sold, because of constant issues) rode in my mustang.
He made the comment that he was pretty sure that mine was noticeably faster.

I was fairly disappointed by the coyote before the tune. its not that its bad, or slow. Its just without the torque down low you dont have that visceral pull of acceleration. Have owned multiple turbo cars with fat torque curves, it felt hollow. Now however, it feels fantastic.

Starting has not been difficult at all.

MPG is about 20 on the highway 15 combined.

If you are on the fence at all about the e85 tune, just do it, it makes it a different car.

E85 is definitely a complete different animal on modern cars. I always recommend E85 and a tune if its available. Some of the biggest gains per dollar you can get.

Launch it at 4K and you'll have all kinds of 'visceral pull'. No need for viagra. Cracks me up all the time when peeps with coyotes looking for that 'stump pulling low end'. There is none, unless you have a TVS/PD style blower. Want low end grunt? Get a Dodge. Cheers.

Coming from turbo cars, notably VW turbo cars, a tune on a stock engine has always made a huge difference. I wouldn't put e85 quite as high as going from stock to stage one on my GTI but its not that far off either. I am genuinely impressed by how much of a difference it made in the power band. The main downside is that i genuinely dont want to switch back to 93 for roadtrips and such.

last time i launched my mustang at 4k it blew the clutch apart... The times before when i launched from 4k weren't that impressive either. on the stock tune it gains speed plenty fast, but it just doesnt throw you back into the seat.
E85 made a huge difference in that. Without dropping the clutch it Hauls from 0-60.

I wanted a camaro, but It wasnt comfortable. I enjoyed driving it the most, the chasis was nice and tight, and the LS had some nice grunt, but a good top end as well. But after 15 minutes in the car my back hurt. I actually drove a scat pack and Man, ive never grinned so much in a car, BUT the charger has no manual options, and the challenger nose is so long it feels like an aircraft carrier. The Stang was the best compromise of the 3. I acknowledge its not a fault of the car. I personally dont like revving out my car anytime i want to go anywhere I feel like im making a spectacle of myself.

These things are why ive spent probably 5 grand making the car into what I want it to be. I am Pretty darn happy with it now.

Makes me happy that you are happy. Take a ride in a Ferrari 812 superfast. You'd never guess in a million years it's 800 hp.

Ohhh I'd love to go the big E. But the closest station to me is 2 hours & 30 mins away and one international crossing haha.

The same 5w-20 I've been using since I bought the car. Even when it's 102 outside here, I don't change. I'd consider 5w-30 for forced induction though.

Gen2 running E85 about 98% of the time for over two years.

I am so close to pulling the trigger on flex or E85... warranty is up in June, only thing that gives me pause is this business about how it HAS to be 85 or the car doesn't run right. I don't feel like doing science experiments at the pump and don't want the hassle of figuring out what to do if it's not 85. We have Sheetz gas stations everywhere around here that sell their version of E85 so that's not a problem. I don't drive it in the winter so not worried about winter blends. Really interested in seeing what E85 does with my 4.09's.
