Why is it every thread about this supercharger turns into a circle jerk around the fire for Whipple?

I understand that the Whipple is an awesome product, but he wasn't asking about it.
Everyone mentions Whipple because this kit is inferior.

Direct like, no modifications required. So when I'm done and want to get rid of my car I don't have to worry about replacing hoses or other components.
right.......no

Last dyno I saw on this manual only supercharger was 520 . So less than 100hp
At the flywheel or rear wheels? If you bothered to check YouTube, you would find a fellow with this setup pulling 600HP on the rear wheels which given a 15% loss to the rear wheels would equal 705HP at the flywheel, a 270HP increase over stock.

If you were a bartender and I came to you and said, hey bro I wanna get drunk, give me 10 shots of Popov Vodka. I would expect you, the professional to say, are you sure you want a massive hangover? Then maybe I could make a better decision. Lol :D:doh:

520 at the wheels just like the c7 eforce kit .

An inferior kit for the money IMO. If you want a PD, Whipple. If you want bang for the buck, Beefcake special centri.
How do you know that the Edlebrock is inferior? What are you basing your facts on? Do you have numbers??

Because whether you like it or not they've become the gold standard for this particular type of supercharger. A distinction they earned. Doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the other ones, but if price is the same it's kind of silly to use anything else.

Oh man... Don't remind me of getting wasted in college on a $10 plastic bottle of Popov and Gatorade...:cheers:

Based on information from their thread here and on the internet. That, plus the inferior design since it is "upside down".

The kit made 520 rwhp . The custom tune ,catless headers and CAI with e-force made 600rwhp ... Horsepower per dollar doesn't add up

I wouldn't go that far. I would say they have an excellent advertisement team on this forum though.

Yeah lots of installs with happy customers singing their praises is pretty good advertising.

It goes way past advertising. Whipple has been the leader in the supercharger market for many years. Ford Racing has used them as their supercharger offerings for many vehicle models such as the Ford Lightning, 03-04 Cobra, 05-10 GT, 11-14 GT, 07-12 GT500's and has used them on the Cobra Jet since 2009 through present.

Shelby Performance uses them for their Supersnakes and F150's.

Chevy uses them on their Copo Camaro and Dodge uses them for their Drag Pack Challenger.

The list goes on...

As you can see they have quite a bit of credentials under their belt. If those manufacturers are choosing Whipple for their quickest and most powerful vehicles there's a reason why.:cheers:
