How many of yuse live in colder climates like michigan, new york, etc and run E 85 in the winter without needing any adjustments to the your tune? E85 around here I believe is class 3 during the winter so probably more like e50ish? Guessing?

Most of the pumps here say it goes down to mid 50s for ethanol. I didn't like cold start performance of above 50% ethanol when it was below 50 F, anyway, so on my last flex tune I just ran 93 or a 20-30% ethanol blend in the cold.

I was going to order a PBD 85 tune, was hoping to do a flex but they don't do them.

I wouldn't run anything less than about 70-75% E on a E85 tune. They're significantly more aggressive than flex tunes, even.

From what I understand PBD will do flex if you request it but don't advertise it. Have seen multiple members on here go that route. Personally I'm a fan of the flex tune from Shaun @ AED.

Strange I called and asked and they said they don't do it.. I thought I saw others using it.

Maybe more profit is selling folks 2 separate tunes instead of just a flex, I dunno, I really prefer flex tbh just because it's easier to switch back and fourth whenever.

Yeah that's a benefit I enjoy as well. Plus not having real e 85 in az with the e54ish flex fuel we get it's a must.

I'm in New York and I'm running E85 right now in the middle of winter. My nGauge is reading 86% alcohol level. It's obviously an estimate, but I'm happy!

I have e70 minimum. Just sent my tuner some winter logs. All good. Worst case the tune runs a little phat. 12 to 1 motor loves that 30 degrees plus timing @ wot. ;).

Wow, my fist tank in South Florida from a Sunoco is only 63%. Normal E85 is supposed to be 83% at the high end.

On the plus side I'm ahead when it comes to cost over 93. I'm getting about 83% MPG at 59% the cost. It's not much.
