I’m going to do a couple of WOT pulls in a safe environment in Track with Advance Track off and send them in. See what happens.

Advance track is never really completely deactivated unless you disconnect aforementioned connector. Dis-connecting also deactivates ABS & traction control. When using the extended time switch off function, the Advance track maintains nannies that will monitor the car for a loss of control. AND if it sees a loss of control at over 30 MPH it will automatically re-activate. I think the re-activation point is 30 MPH, maybe somebody else knows for sure.

This is a very scary situation if you are an astute Hi Performance driver, as if this situation occurs......you will be fighting the Nannied Advance track while believing thinking you have turned it off. Ford does not mention this in the manual and does not publish info. about this. Visit the link to view a video, then read the comments, one of the commenters appears to have worked within Ford and confirmed this with some additional programming parameter details. There is also other info. out there if you search Search The Mustangs fatal flaw.

The Advance track system is intended to keep the car under control and not let it get squirrelly from Jump!!! It is also designed assuming that most drivers are incapable of regaining control of a car once it has gotten squirelly. I lost 1 car to this re-activation. See the video

I have verified it will reactivate as soon as it senses a certain amount of lateral movement in the back wheels.

I have run completely unplugged for 8-9k miles now. I still have drag mode via tune (300a car) and know how the car behaves consistently without any nannies. Only way to fly imo.

I would agree with you, however I like the ABS for everyday driving. I now just leave everything on for everyday driving........I only needed be surprised like that once in my life......under the side of a tractor trailer on the highway at 40 MPH is no fun!!!

For sure. Mine is just a play car so no daily commute at all. I have actually stood on the pp1 brakes pretty hard many times over a hundo with zero signs of locking up nor any funny business. It feels like abs might still be in play on braking side. Knowing what the car is consistently going to do is more important to me.

Although driving through wot shifts in lower gears in cooler air temps will raise the blood pressure a tad. lol. ;).

That’s why ford put the plug. If off was off the plug would be a redundant waste of money.

The 15-17 stability system is way better than the 10-14 system. The 18+ system seems better but I haven’t pushed to the limit.
It's okay, but if you're tracking the car and you've done more than 5 HPDE sessions in your life, you're better off in track mode, or holding that button down for 10 seconds and waiting for AdvanceTrac disabled, or disconnecting that module by the airbox as others have claimed. If you're familiar with Mark Donahue and Friction Circle and/or String Theory, you'll be happy to know that the engineers who developed it also agree with you, but it seems that they only trust you to about 1.25G. If you've got aero, dampers, tires and whatnot capable of 1.6-1.8G, you'll more than kick yourself for those times that you've either forgotten to disconnect the sensor by the airbox, or hold in the traction control to disable the AdvanceTrac for 10 seconds. I skimmed the video, but I do not believe it re-engages on the 18+, as you'd easily feel it kick on almost every Type I turn in Southern California. I have doubts that it also re-engages as my other friends have S197 Coyotes, and I don't hear them complain about it, and they're almost running as fast as I do.

Regarding the ABS, I'm pretty certain that the ABS is also still enabled on that, and you could tell by threshold braking. The only one I do know of being disabled is the Line Lock, and on the newer models, the Hill Assist, both being worthless to a track car.
