It may be an exception here along with other modern automatics. Not sure why, but that's seems to be the trend. All the added gears in autos are what makes them faster now.

No, it shouldn't. Autos have typically made a little less, but autos of late have caught up so to speak.
It looks like the Auto is still down but with 10 gears it spends way more time in the heart of the power band in the 1/4 mile to make up for the slight loss.

I know I'm just repeating what everyone knows but I'm still so blown away at how quick the 18 Auto is. That 10 speed is amazing. I actually have the 10 speed in my new f150 and it is crazy how quick even my heavy truck is.

Saying all that, I have a very special bond with my 15 mustang 6 speed. Despite the Autos being quicker stock vs 6speed stock, I would never have an auto mustang. I love the feel and control I have with the 6speed and would not give that up. Its just too much fun and one of the main reasons I love my car.

Now....offer me a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car and I'll be happy with the paddle shifters.

Is it so low compared to others because you ran in 5th instead of 7th?
Dyno in a gear closer or to 1:1 ratio will give you a bigger hp number.

I made 408 rwhp WCF and 368 rwtq in 4th gear and

430 rwhp WCF 388 rwtq in 5th(1:1 ratio). Same day, same timing reading, oil air temps, etc. On a low reading Mustang dyno

The Livernoise dynojet seam to read low much like a Mustang dyno.

BS to test in 5th thats 1.52, 6th is 1.27 and 7th is 1.00. I don't think 7400 RPM in 7th will hit the speed limiter. I thought you always try to pull in a gear close to 1 to 1. Do you test 6 speed manuals in 3rd which is 1.52 to 1 .

Is this on a Dynojet or Mustang Dyno? Mustang Dyno numbers read anywhere from 3%-12% less than Dynojets but are more accurate.

Overinflated, aka: run in the proper gear for a dyno test.
The "others" supposely overinflated numbers must be the favorite of the pre 2018 owner :D

Not necessarily BS! Dyno is a tool not everybody use it to show records numbers!
For example if you want to compare a 2015 and a 2018 on the same dyno 5th gear on the 2018 is the same ratio than a 2015 in 3rd gear. So you can compare apple to apple then.

There is no 1:1 ratio in the 6r80. Some tuner used third gear for 2011-2017 A6 others use 4th at 1.14 ratio

3rd gear in mt82 is 1.69.
On the 2018 in 7th gear there is a speed limiter that can be reach depending on rear end ratio that have been show by other dyno test.

Would have been very easy to also do a test in 7th do!
Even with the limiters the number would have been higher than in 5th.

If you have a 1 to 1 gear use it. If you hit the speed limiter note the lower RPM. But with an A10 in 7th gear and a 3.55 gear I don't think so.

Livernois probably likes having lower #'s so they can show their tune will make bigger than normal gains. This thread is fake news.
They've been around long enough with a good reputation that they don't have to inflate to get business. If anything, they tune more conservatively than others. They don't have a reputation for blowing up engines or transmissions. If you've ever been to their shop, it's better than 99% of other performance shops out there.
Same day, same dyno my SHO picked up 120+AWHP. Put 32k miles on it in 9 months and drove 16hrs roundtrip to set the Gen4 SHO standing half mile record with it at over 2,000ft elevation. That's the results I got from Livernois.

Yep, and lines up with what I had. At least with version 1. Improved from there.

This is the feedback I like seeing from customers. True street results using the dyno as a tool.
