Anyone do a pull in Normal/Sport/Track to see if there is any actual different in the HP made by the car? I know the drive modes make some changes, but it is something that can be quantified? Does Sport+ allow the car to make more HP than normal?

There must be a slight something to it, as there's a plug under the stock airbox that the dyno operators are supposed to break for dyno testing. Those who track almost always break it as well, which forces off things like AdvanceTrak and Traction Control, instead of having to go to Track or disable it through a 10 second hold every time.

From what I recall no mode increases HP, they only remove nannies that keep rapid acceleration and subsequent wheel spin from happening.

There’s nothing in the calibration that can change engine power output based on drive modes.

Although it would be cool if there was.

The throttle response is changed in the different modes. I would think HP and TQ results to all be the same result.

Having exhaust in quiet mode may affect the hp. I am not entirely sure if that is true on the stock active setup but I have varex active and 770 rwhp and when the valves are closed I am down 250+ hp. Wayy too much backpressure, I found this out by testing 60-130 times and went from 5's to 8s by just having the valves closed. Probably was a bad idea to test that, lucky I didnt damage anything.

Ford doesn’t do it but you can set up drive modes to change max output. For fun, I set mine up to make the stock torque curve in normal mode but 700+ rwhp in sport and select shift. It was neat and fun for a few days then I put it back how it was…
