Do they keep the pad dust from covering all the suspension bits?

You have to take the rotors and calipers off to install/remove the dust shields.
Also, I have a 2018 PP1 and the shields are the smaller 15-17 ones. Not sure which submodel those larger ones come on.
My 19 PP1 also has the small dust shields. They pretty much only protect the ball joints from heat.

Do the 4 piston shields not work at all with the 6 piston? Maybe we can modify them to work?

I may just cut my 4 piston shields to look like the small 15-17 shields.

You could also contact a salvage yard like Midway Mustang, they have a bunch of cars that they part out

Wrecked PP's might be a little tricky to find plus part and labor they charge to remove them won't be as cheap as just ordering them from a web site. I could be wrong but generally that is how it goes when I have ordered from the past.

I guess what this all comes down to is how badly do you want them?

So they went from bigger shields to smaller shields?
That pic of the smaller shields look like a joke. lol. I wouldn't even install those.

I too am waiting for my left dust shield. I have the right...

I never got the point of dust shields really. This is my 3rd Ford and they all have them. Never seen them on any of my GM or Dodge cars/trucks. Then again they were older cars.

What a PITA

They are only there to protect the ball joints from heat, which the small ones do perfectly and allow the most air into the rotors for cooling. The small ones do their job as intended.

I made the same suggestion. They part out wrecked cars for a living so the worst answer you will get is that they want to keep it with the Brembo kit. They are going to sell the brakes regardless.

Ohh ok, so they went smaller to allow more cooling for the brakes but still protect the ball joints.

You know the part number for the smaller ones? Those might be in stock since they switched.
Probably why the other ones are hard to come by.

I don't know the part number off the top of my head but @LevittownFordParts should be able to help you find it.

Not sure if it helps but I was also searching for these and found these part numbers FR3Z2K005H and FR3Z2K004H I'm not completely sure these are the small shields for the performance pack brembos but they are only 6 bucks for both of them so I ordered them.

I ordered the right one but finding the left one is more rare than diamond mine right now. From what I hear from calling a Ford parts center is that the left one is on national back order.
