Man I'.ve been scratching my head fitting these. I pulled my oem halfshafts yesterday and tried fitting the new DSS shafts now our cars are RHD so just bare this in mind. I pulled the passenger side shaft (your driver side) this has a long stub, I put the new one in with the long stub but the shaft was to long to put back together, I just couldn't get the camber bolt to line up, it was about an 1" away.
When i put them side by side the DSS one is an 1" longer. I'm now thinking when they were assembled at the factory they got the stubs the wrong way round.
I was going to try it in the driver side (your passenger side) but this would mean i have the long stub in the wrong side.
Can they really make this mistake at the factory man, :headbonk::shrug:
