I guess I am missing something here, I am reading what sounds like a lot of negativity but I see no one else offering a tune for suspension unless I am missing something and other platforms using the controller are happy. Maybe V3 isn’t the best but with input V4 can be better and that’s just an update.

I would not call it negativity. I personally love the idea of this controller. And I agree that this is the future of suspension tuning. What is mostly being said is that without a proper tune, this extremely capable controller is just paperweight. And it seems that the GT350 platform lacks the level of tuning support other platforms get. I guess that is it :)

Ok I get that, so if more units were sold and more feedback given then maybe more attention and support. I guess if fewer units are sold there’s less reason to do more is one way of looking at it. As a group of enthusiasts the more advanced ones have lots to give in the way of feedback and potential for upgrades. I am not in that league and have learned so much from others.

Cortex is a company known for their suspension components for Mustangs, and for their technical knowledge of chassis setup for the last several generations of Mustangs. Cortex was an early adopter of the DSC for the Mustang and I anticipated they would be the ones to bring a well sorted tune to market. Unfortunately they haven’t done much with the tunes, and those who have commented indicated the tune that comes on the v2 or v3 is better with novice tweaking. I sent an email to Cortex inquiring about their involvement with the DSC and I’ve gotten no response.

I’m looking for a well sorted tune with data and feedback on the tune before taking the leap. I understand a well sorted tune is variable from track to track, but I also think a general track tune that is better than oem is very doable with the DSC.

Agreed. Just a few post above the included tune is referred to as junk. It continues to go on and say that it took time to develop a tune for his driving style. It also mentions that he is definately faster with his tune. So objectively speaking, the provided tune leaves much to be desired but the customization capability is great. As I mentioned earlier, tunning suspension may not be a science (with software) but an art. Great works of art take time. Maybe one day a tuner will take adequate time to provide a desirable tune. Till then the OEM tune on my R is great.

I don't own one yet but, my take on it is this: The DSC box gives you the feature of adjusting compression & rebound on your factory dampers very much like a set of adjustable coil over dampers. When you buy adjustable coil over dampers you have to tune them, I believe this product is no different.

I did a little digging and found their YouTube channel. They seem to have plenty of tutorial type videos to help you use the tuning software along with a forum as well.

Seems cool, I want one.

Cortex is selling them, but I think V2.
Custom tuning takes time and therefore money, whether it’s DSC or Cortez or a member, track time and expertise, then sharing or issuing new versions
It’s a work in progress, but it doesn’t seem that the hardware would ever change just it’s vocabulary

I wonder if Ford Performance will release their own Magneride update like GM just did for the Vette.
FP released a Magneride update for the 18+ GT models with Magneride option but nothing yet for GT350. If they do it will likely be the 19+ updated file
