Hey everybody,

Im at a lost here. Does anyone know how to disable the Day light Driving (DRL) hang the FORSCAN? The headlight Tri-bar that is constantly on! I went to Forscan and see LEFT front DRL and had 6 options.

1. Not used 2. DRL only 3-4 useless and 5. Portion and 5 something else. I tried all of them especially 1-2 & 5 to disable. Same for the RIGHT FRONT DRL. Doesn’t turn it off
..

I don’t want DRL to be constantly on and might burn it out eventually. Anyone ever disabled them?

The other thing like double Honk which was much needed!

Thanks!

The tri-bar lights are not the DRLs. Daytime running lights are just the headlights on low beam, and you can disable them through the Settings. Good luck turning off the tri-bars, but on the other hand, have you ever seen an S550 with them burned out? I haven't, and some of them are more than 10 years old...

You got a valid point there about never seen one broken. I believe If your light switch is set to “off”, not on AUT, the low beams stay off. Once you put it in “auto” or manually turn them on, then the low beams activate when outside is dark. So, the tri-bars just keep things visible during the day, but the low beams stay off unless you put them to work. And Tri bar works as DRL.

Why? Just to be different? I mean, I get it, but still...?

Maybe the easiest way is physical, rather than electronic programming. đŸ€·â€â™‚ïž
If you read my first post you would get why. You missed the point. Move along.

Did you get any better answers? 😉
Also, reread your first post. Nothing in there about *why*, unless it's just because you want it that way, which is fine. đŸ€·â€â™‚ïž
