If you want great driving shoes that don't scream "LOOK AT ME I THINK I AM A FAST DRIVER" like the Puma Speedcat type shoes do, try Saucony Bullets. They are sort of in between a running shoe and a wrestling shoe. Very comfortable and narrow and only about 50 bucks.

Ah, those look great, and I can't stand the look of the Puma Speedcats everyone seem to prance around in.

With my track speed I can't risk anyone thinking I'm thinking I'm fast, but these give of just the right kind of "old worn out sneaker" look I need. Might evem fake a hole in them somewhere too, just to be sure. "No wonder he's slow. Just look at those shoes ..."

I'll wear either a pair of chucks or shell toe Adidas while driving but I'm just as comfy heel toeing in my Redwing 877 Boots.

But all three change the feel dramatically.

Based on my own experience, I can openly declare that the best option for shoes to drive in them is, of course, moccasins. Considering how sensitive my pedals are. I need shoes that will be light and with a thin enough sole to help me feel the force of pressing the pedal. This is very important to me, because my car is expensive and I would like to exclude even a small chance of getting into an accident. I was able to order the last pair of excellent moccasins using the forstep style service. Who uses them too?

I have a pair of wresting shoes I have worn for years. Thin rubber bottoms that roll around the edges. Really good feel for heel toeing.
