So I would like to know if anyone knows if the v6 is sharing the same driveshaft as the ecoboost. I hear that the shaft on the 14 and back, would have problems with speeds over 130mph.

But I heard that the reason why the v6 is limited to 126mph this year is really due to tire rating limit, not driveshaft.

So as long as I change my tires to a better speed rating, would I be fine by removing the limiter?

Highly recommend to also do the drive shaft. All split drive shafts suffer from that issue, but doesn't necessarily mean it will snap immediately it will over time and abuse.

Doesn't the 5.0 have a similar driveshaft and a 155mph limiter?

So the ecoboost with performance pack is limited to 145... If the v6 has the same driveshaft, shouldnt we be good to at least 145 assuming new high rated tires were put on??

The V6 shares the same basic drive shaft as the GT.

If it does, then taking the limiter out, and switching the tires is all that is needed? Sounds good :)

Didn't realize the tires speed limit was rated at 121. I know I have been going over that slightly at times :O

Ive looked under my car while it was lifted and it has a 2-piece driveshaft
If you read earlier posts, we share the same two piece driveshaft as the egoboost
