Driver Mode Not Available Issue

Haven't driven car for over a month. Started her up today to get gas before putting her up for the winter and am getting "Driver Mode Not Available". Can't switch mode, use the Tracks Apps, put exhaust in Sport Mode, etc. Anyone have a thought on what this might be before I call Ford?

Lol, no. Took it out on the street and drove it. Thought I was going forward but then again, who knows. ;-)

MyKey? Not Sure what that is. Prior to not driving, didn't have any issues.

The owner's manual is a good place to start.

Just read about MyKey ... is a process and did not do any of that. Started the car by just pushing the Start button.

Go through your settings though just to make sure you haven't accidentally enabled it.

someone in another forum posted about their focus RS with the same problem, the solution was "The dealer diagnosed this as being a crimped wire at the connection of the front left shock. The replacement arrived in a couple days and I'm 100% now.

If the cars battery is weak it won't complete the exhaust valve test if you try to start it right away. Let the battery charge from driving a little. Turn off press the clutch in give it a few seconds to test the exhaust valve then start

Mine did that once in 14K miles of driving. Just turned it off and started it back up and had no issue.

Could be this since car had been sitting, although did start right away. Supposed to snow so won't be taking her out. Will wait until next good day and then drive her a bit to charge up. If this doesn't work, will make appointment with dealer.

Stick it on a trickle charger if you have one. If my cars sit more than a week, they get hooked up.

Exhaust valves not working properly (or not completing their startup cycle) can be a cause of this as others have mentioned.

Also being in reverse, LOL.
