Yep, he passed a couple of years ago.
His daughters have ownership of the estate and they actually had Wayne Carini of Chasing Classic Cars come and look it over (there was an episode on it). When asked if they would sell, they were reluctant to sell it, but wanted expert advice from Wayne. Based on what they said on the show, they were in discussions with Volvo so it could be put into their Museum.
That car had quite a history and following for many years.
