My GT350 won't be sitting long enough for this to apply, but was wondering...................Shelby says to "Drain and replace the fuel prior to operation if the fuel in the vehicle is 6 months old or more."

Does anyone actually do this and does the tank have an easily accessible drain plug ?

Pop the lower back seat out and you have access to the tank

You may be able to get a 'fuel drain tune' from your tuner as well

The problem with fuel drain tunes is they only drain half the tank.

Please elaborate, If the pump is running with a "fuel drain" tune or a physical jumper on the FPDM harness connector, why wouldn't the venturi siphon drain the passenger side and empty both sides just as it would during normal driving? Thanks.

The venturi siphon requires backpressure to generate a flow. In other words, if you disconnect the fuel line from the rail and allow it to dump in a bucket, there would be insufficient backpressure generated, so there wouldn't be enough flow through the .016" hole in the venturi to draw fuel over from the passenger's side saddle.

GT350s have dual pumps. Not an issue here

GT350 and 500 both rely on the venturi to pull fuel over from the PS saddle.
Nope. they have a fuel pump in each saddle.

I used a fuel drain tune all the time when I had OEM tank. it would get all but the last .5-.75 gallon out

GT350 (and 500) have 2 pumps in the bucket on the driver's side. The passenger's side is just a fuel level sensor and the inlet for the venturi line, but there is no pump on the passenger's side. The 500 is a little more elaborate because they move the entire venturi to the passenger's side and supply fuel to it from the [driver's side] pump discharge. I know Ford calls the PS module a fuel pump, but there is no pump there.

huh - no shit. I guess I should've pulled the passenger side hat before I opened my mouth.

I never did have a problem emptying the tank with a fuel drain tune - but maybe others do
