I’ve been talking to Terence about getting some wheels and keep going back and forth in my head about what I really want to do. Originally I wanted to stay with 20s and run a 20” DR but part of me says there is no way a 20”DR is enough sidewalk and that I should go with an 18”.
I spoke with Evolution Performance and was told they’ve ran a 9.5 on a 20”.

does anyone here have any first hand experience?

How often do you plan to go to the track?
Are you adding power mods?
If yes to regular use and/or adding power, you’ll be happier with 18”
But as Evo said, you can still go fast on 20s, it’ll just be harder and less consistent.

Not sure how often I’ll make it to the track. Hopefully more often than not. I plan to add a JLT intake. Looking to see what other mods I can do without tuning.

Where are you getting 18's that will clear the rear calipers. I have a pair of American Muscle 18x10 w/ 305 nitto 555Rs and they lack at least a 1/2" from fitting over the caliper. Looks like 19" would be really tight, if they work at all.

I'm also interested finding out if I can put 18 wheels on the back of a 2019 GT350 for drag radials?

I can build you any of our Signature Wheel 18” Monoblock wheels to clear the rear brakes on the GT500/GT350. If the car is drag focused we can also build a 20x8 front runner.

Wheels are customizable for any width and offset you need. No modifications needed to the brakes or lug nuts. We have even gone so far as to add a bead lock option. Also working with Cortex to develop a custom low profile vertical link to add more clearance at the wheel barrel and reduce deflection/wheel hop

Why do you want drag radials if not going to a track or increasing the power significantly?

See above: Terrance with Signature Wheel can make them.

So far I have not found anything off the shelf that will fit this car.

I want them for the trips I do make to the track. Having the proper equipment makes the experience much more enjoyable.

I measured the gap between the caliper and the factory wheel. It is about 7/8". For an 18" "off the shelf wheel" to fit, it would need to be at least 1".
Looks like a 19" wheel would have around a 1/4" gap. If 50 Deep will accept the $269 I spent on the AM reproduction wheels, sign me up. I don't need bling to go fast at the strip.
